That's a first. Bought some 9.9v 1000mah Life batteries and they arrived pretty much fully charged. Less prep for Sunday and fielding the ics ape for the first time.

CHECK YOUR SETTINGS
DO NOT CHARGE THEM AS LIPO's !!!!
Lipo's charge up to 4.2v max charge
LiFe's charge up to 3.8v max charge
(I think but don't quote me)
you can push half a volt charge onto them
but LiPo's are 3.7v & LiFe's are 3.3v
So they need different settings in ya IMAX B6
or a B3 type with a proper LiFe output
You probably know all this but just passing it on
Don't damage your LiFe's - ergh is that suicide then ?
Don't overcharge your LiFe batteries by charging them on LiPo settings
Happy charging etc....

That is probably coz a used LiFe drops to 3v or less
On a Lipo you get a cell failure if it goes too low
Then you need to trickle charge the low LiPo
When it gets back above say 3.2v or more then
You should be able to charge the LiPo on the B6 again
Too easy to plug it in to cheapo China B3 type chargers
let it charge not knowing it will overcharge a LiFe !!!
Some B3's have a LiFe setting or so but not all/most
B6 is a bit of learning curve coz you edit the LiPo settings
Or make up your custom one
But I "think" it still needs to toggle Lipo to LiFe in settings
(bit of a faff tbh)
IMHO - I never found the LiFe THAT bigger difference
compared to using a good 25c or 30c 7.4v LiPo
maybe in stock guns but never noticed much on a tweaked gun
Supposed to be the ideal stop gap between 7.4v & 11.1v
Bought 9.9v for FireHawk - bloody tight fit in stock tube
Then said sod it & chucked fixed stubby stock & cheap block 7.4v
Somewhere I got a monster 4000mah or something for full stock
Not that impressed so not bothered to buy again
But it might work out OK for you in your gun
Just watch your charge settings
(and go deans if you can solder properly)
