SniperOverwatch's Achievements

  1. Today's purchase..... Kalashnikov Spetsnaz AEG. I had gone in to local Army Navy surplus shop to buy an MP5 but I walked out with this AK. Funny how that is. I also came home with a pair of Rothco Black duty gloves and a German flektarn sniper type cap. As well as a pair of binoculars which will be packed with my sniper loadout A pic of her with her new family.
  2. Just bought a two piece Ghillie Suit for wooded gaming, Canadian military issue ballistics glasses with various lenses and lens cleaner, and tan Rothco tactical gloves.
  3. My collection so far. The M249 and the handgun are both springers. M249 was a silly purchase just for display, the handgun is my sidearm for emergencies in my sniper gear. Will be giving her a custom paint job to go over the clear parts and help conceal her in the wooded areas I play in. And my L96 has come home! Her metal 2-stage trigger looks perdy.
  4. I know right.....I chose the wrong ghillie for an urban op...Shouldve gone urban. Anyway, I'll be going to a game on the 18th. There'll be some in-game shots then Never been to this field before, but saw a map of the area. looks like a heavily wooded area. It might come in handy.
  5. Stand by for my pictures. Will post soon
  6. I looked all over the surplus shop. They had nothing. I have a wrap in my shed somewhere...but not sure where it is lol
  7. Yes, it is a long piece of kit. I have two sniper rifles, the L96 short barrel sniper, but am investing in a MP-5 as a up close and personal gun just incase someone gets to close for comfort.
  8. I wield the King Arms Ultra Grade SVD, so far I haven't gamed with her yet. But the previous owner liked it alot. The PSO-1 scope is a bit tricky to put on, but once she's on, that sumbitch is on there for life. Application of scope may require gentle taps from a hammer to start off the process, thats what I had to do. But all in all, from the reviews I've done...All forms of SVDs are great pieces of kit. Here's mine. Her name is Katya. Yes I named her......DONT JUDGE. I also have a L96 as well. I must say that compared to the L96, the SVD is hands down a better buy. I bought the L96 as a clearance gun from the local gun doc for $75 but she had to get fixed, by same gun doc and had a metal 2-stage trigger installed.
  9. Oh yes, during gaming it'l be up higher, I dont have a web belt to attach it onto just yet so I had to make do with a loop on my BDU pants, itll be fixed the next time I go to the surplus shop. I think its possible. there's alot of excess strap.
  10. Just started a Desert/Tan loadout, its so far a work in progress. Don't have to much to it yet but it'll get there eventually. Yes, I know I've only got one kneepad on. The other pic, is my Olive Drab loadout which is going to be my "go-to" kit for airsoft games.
  11. The beard is in honor of Chris Kyle. Oorah
  12. Well folks, its nothing to impressive, but here is the first pics of my loadout. I have always liked the way that our old Canadian Forces Olive Drabs BDU's looked. Our military has since converted to the Cadpat, unless you're enlisted in the Navy, then you are issued Navy gear, but our RCAF and Army folks are issued the "Relish Camo" aka Cadpat, which I think looks nice now that its grown on me, but that OD just looked great. Anyway, here is my loadout, with a mix of Old School with New School, a nod to way we once were, mixed with a bit of today. Armed with Russian technology. The vest I'm wearing is made by Parklands, its an LBV-88 and is in the Cadpat pattern. Lots of pockets for my SVD mags, and can fit some First Aid stuff, just in case. I had been planning on using this vest for my sniper outfit, but I think I might just use it for a "Ground Pounder'' outfit, not quite sure yet. Anyway, that is what I have so far. Wanted to pay tribute to our military old and new, the OD is to commemorate our military I grew up in 80s-90s, and Cadpat is a nod to our now military, while the SVD.....well..Its just awesome.
  13. Must be my lucky day! Went to the Salvation Army Thrift Shop today before work....Found the exact pair of OD Canadian Combat Pants I've been looking for!

  14. I'll make sure to post some pics. But I wont be using the helmet for games while I'm a sniper, its ony for when I'm in "Ground Pounder" mode. Assaulting and all that. I'm working on my own custom Canadian loadout. I wanted to do a Spec-Ops sniper type deal, but themed stuff isn't exactly my thing, so this is gonna be my own take on it.
