If you are meaning the loading fin, it is a common issue - with the C clip that (should) hold it to the cylinder nozzle pinging off fairly regularly - especially if you fill the mags to full capacity. It can be permanently resolved by using a brass C clip manufactured from a 'slice' of an old inner barrel, or the best solution is to use the aluminium Airsoft Pro L96 AWS loading plate, carefully filed to shape/size, and paired with the Airsoft Pro C clip (annoyingly they don't come with the plate). Look up the Airsoft Lee Enfield group on Facebook - all the info on there. If you are meaning the rear of the bolt itself was wobbly, this is again common, but very easy to resolve - the fake 'hammer' at the rear of the bolt needs to be removed to access the allen head bolt underneath - tighten, with a bit of locktite added. Again, details/videos in the facebook group. Worth the effort to get the gun shooting reliably - they are superb fun, and pleasingly accurate. -
Welcome. The posts above have pretty much covered everything but I'll add this. Gloves are recommended as a shit to the knuckles will bloody hurt. Also when on site don't be afraid to ask people about their kit or guns you like the look of, most players are more than happy to show off and talk about their stuff (getting them to stop is probably harder) and will probably let you fire off a few shots if you ask nicely.

Selling my Classic Army Nemesis X9 - somewhat of an ARP clone. Shoots really well, will come with 2 x mags (might have a third). There are a few little nuances - unfortunately the previous owner lost the spring which retracts the charging handle. It functions (with no purpose) but will not be retracted back into the upper without you having to push it back in. Also, one screw is missing from the retractable butt-stock arms, meaning that the arm does not move with the stock. A very quick and easy fix, I just dont have the screw..£110

Couple of good condition TM NGRS M4/416 gearboxes for sale due clear out of spares. 1/ Original TM gearbox shell fitted with FPS bushings. Few slight marks on internal surface from a Gate Titan that was epoxied in place, but has now been removed and cleaned. Original cut off lever, gear set and trigger switch refitted. It's honestly not a bad idea. They'll be very generic but not a bad way to get yourself started as you'll more than likely have some sort of M4 derivative for your rental gun. Most sites that are UKARA registered advertise the fact as it's a good selling point for them to lock you in for at least 3 games. If you go to the Airsoft Plantation website that Colin recommended, it shows it's UKARA registered at the bottom of the page. That's a common trait to look out for.

Hey guys thank you both for your replies. In response to Galvatron, would you recommend buying a cheap chest rig to help manage with loads and kit before even playing or hold out until trying Airsoft? Also thank you for all the other advice concerning eye wear and boots ( I do have crap ankles 😂) And Colin, I'm near Braintree and I do drive. Just trying to find something to get into. Lost touch with my old hobbies and this is one that has always interested me ☺️ Also how do you know which sites hold ukara so you can get signed off? Sorry and thanks again guys!

Without knowing exactly where you are in Essex, I would recommend Airsoft Plantation, which is just north of Billericay.
