Identified it wrong and based it off a TM Aug, this has been rectified.

It's not defective, still works perfectly excluding the safety.

Now I'm confused, so it's not defective, but the safety, quite an important part, is defective.

It's also brand new, but your not the retailer so it's actually not new, & there's s no warranty implied or given.

And you want people to pay £20 more than rrp for it, as well as then travel to you to collect it.

Is the extra £20 a surcharge to cover a 3 course dinner & refreshments you'll be providing when they arrive ?, or are there hidden costs we're not aware of 🤔

This ad is cursed, I might as well just throw my hands up and say I don't know much about the RIF in itself. I misidentified it, them when I was corrected based the price off of my first google search, that being patrolbase that marked it up as £199. I should of put a better look into it. Yeah, you're one hundred percent correct.

With that in mind, I've corrected everything accordingly. I don't want anything to be perceived as me being malicious or anything. As I've just got a lot of things going on and sadly my Airsoft collection is taking a hit.

Sorry to hear you've got crap going on, no really, life is pretty shit all round at the mo. But good man for taking our ribbing so well, you've joined a great forum but it can be uber critical here, something that no other forums generally allow, but in our defense its done for the right reasons.

I hope you can sort out your private issues without decimating too much of your kit, we never want to lose players.

Good luck

PS our resident Aug guru is @Iceni, top guy who may be able to recommend an easy fix for the Aug.

Thanks for the words of encouragement.

I'd hate to sell something to someone and end up giving them the wrong information.

Aug safety is a mechanical trigger lockout. If it's defective it means the bar either in wrong, or it's been modified.

New bar is less than £10, and can be had from a few sites, Fire support have them for £9. Provided the gun is shooting in semi and full auto on the correct trigger position then it should be a drop in replacement, If the Trigger linkage has been modified for a shorter trigger pull then the safety will be compromised and there can be no guarantees it'll ever be right again without converting back. Not something that's easy as the linkages can not be bought.

The flat spring is commonly lost resulting is a safe bar that drop out, again you need the full replacement as I have never seen the springs sold separately.

The model isn't an AUG 16, It's an AUG 1G. Can be had for about £130 new.
