lemon191
you dont need to remove the front sight the handle+mount give more than enough clearance. as for being top heavy ive never had any problems with my aimpoint just best make sure its easy to remove during a game as mine is useless if it rains and get rain on the lens 2 things to consider is do you want it to magnify? and budget the red dot sights are all pretty much the same just in different packaging just make sure it has windage/elevation adjustment and will do just fine (and as with most things airsoft actualy finding a place that has it in stock! lol ) somthing id look at is http://www.actionhobbies.co.uk/G-P-Militar...AZGX6.aspx?nh=0 mine:
Supporters Airsoft-Ed Posted April 12, 2012 Supporters Share Posted April 12, 2012 You don't even need to clear the front sight post. If the scope has a zoom then the front sight post will be too close for you to focus on it, so you'll not be able to see any part of it through the scope. If there is no zoom, then the holo sight/red dot's aiming point will rest somewhere around the top of the front sight post, so still not making the front post a problem. G-Force
So long as your not going for magnification then it shouldn't be a problem. I aim through my holosight into the front post and the reticle sits nicely on the top. If my holo runs out of battery I still have something to aim with. Boro
This might look a bit top heavy on an m4 but I would recommend a x4 zoom. Ideal for scouting the enemy and you can actually see your BB's in flight making hits! Elcan SpectreDR with Red Dot Red Dot - no zoom Elcan with zoom Acog style recticle too. Quite heavy but worth it!
