Supporters Airsoft-Ed Posted September 25, 2011 Supporters Share Posted September 25, 2011 I've bought a propane adaptor and I've been finding that canisters of mixed gas are far more easy to come by than raw propane. Will propane/butane mixed gas work as well? If not then how come?
Supporters M_P Posted September 25, 2011 Supporters Share Posted September 25, 2011 no, it needs to be pure propane i think. butane is too weak, though wait for others to reply just to be sure
Supporters Rock-climby-Dave Posted September 25, 2011 Supporters Share Posted September 25, 2011 Imagine the hulk. That is Pure Propane (pro as in good) Now imagine the hulk, but 3 inches high, made of dust and ant legs and held together with a small length of twine. That is Butane. The effect those two would have on crushing buildings would be similar to that which propane or butane has on making any GBB cycle properly. You CAN use propane/butane mix, but the power output will be somewhat diminished.
Supporters Airsoft-Ed Posted September 25, 2011 Author Supporters Share Posted September 25, 2011 Alright cheers. I managed to find some 1.17kg propane canisters, 2 for £13. Not exactly the 90% cheaper as advertised on the adaptor, but certainly a bollock load cheaper than green gas. I think I blew the seals on one of my pistol mags though, I couldn't tell if it was working or not until I heard it leaking from the pressure =\
