im thinking if buying a propane adapter jaeger precison for my gbb do you guys recommend any bottles or brands of propaine and is it really cheaper than green gas?

Any propane bottles with the map/colmens screw adapter. Don't use camping bottles as alot of these are different fittings.

I'm currently using these from tool station

Also don't fall for the you have to add silicone oil to your fill valves as this isn't needed and will only fill the whole system with unwanted oil.

Don't buy the jaeger one, it doesn't work. I've had both metal and plastic variants, same problem. It gets too cold and doesn't fill.

Bavtac do one which works regardless and is cheaper.

That's good to know if I ever need to replace my adapter. I'm using a classic Airsoft innovation one that I've had well over 12years.

Don't let his fans hear you say that.

Also a former JP adapter owner. Kept wondering why my mags always had a terrible full. Bought a Madbull, now they're great.

I've been trying to use them on WE, TM, GM, DE, KJW and WA mags, the fill is always equalising at equivalent to 6g fill, which at best is half a fill, at worst 1/5th of a fill.

I’ve run a Jaeger adapter — go with common camping/BBQ propane (Coleman or Bernzomatic work fine) and avoid MAP/oxy-propane.
Propane is usually cheaper per fill than green gas, but you must top up with silicone oil and expect higher FPS/possible extra wear unless you use a regulator.

JP MWS NPAS owner here. They were awful and I went back to the RA-Tech one. All the way open and I couldn't get my mk12 to DMR power (it maxed at 1.6J, my limit is 1.88J). As soon as I put the RA-Tech one back in, I could get up to 2.5J with it fully open.

However, I will admit his titan nub works really well... Maybe that's in the 10% 🤣

His titan nub was good, I’ve had two of his VFC NPAS’s and both have been awful. First one caused the replica to put out like 0.4J regardless of where it was set. Sent it back, got a replacement and it wouldn’t even fit without sanding down. Ended up getting a VFC one from china and it’s been fine. His easy loader is good too but you can’t really mess that up 😂

I was about to meaningfully respond to this, before my Bot senses kicked in...!

( From personal experience here, so any expert advice very welcome!)

I'm under the impression that there is a small amount of oil in every bottle of Airsoft specific gas sold - hence shake the can before filling. WE for instance highlight the fact it contains it on the front of the can I happen to have at the moment. Remember being told as a noob many years ago that standard Propane is a very 'drying' gas, so it makes sense to me to add a bit to avoid it drying out O rings and so on. But I believe very little is needed, on the order of one or two drops per litre. Have I got it wrong? (again lol).

Also standard/camping gas propane contains a very smelly additive for safety (so that any camping stove type leaks are very obvious). The smell can get very unpleasant / nauseating in an enclosed area, so filling outside is a good idea.

I don't know if its related to the additive but I started to notice a bit of a thin brown coating appearing on some valves and seals after a while. Anyone else experienced this?

The MAPP / Yellow cylinder stuff just flat out didn't work when I tried it. May just be me of course!

Overall I just had so many issues that I went back to just using the comercial stuff. Having bought a VFC LAR and their SA58 I might have to look into it again though! 😄.
