Indoor Ranges

Apologies if this is in the wrong section

I am looking for indoor ranges to play with my 14 year old kids. We have played UCAP Bunker and UCAP HMP Dorchester. Both very good sites however we are looking for something new.

Google search didn't seem to offer much unfortunately so I would rather ask pepople in the know.

Preferably full auto sites.

Do you mean an indoor shooting range or indoor site?

Are you looking around Hants/Dorset/Berks only or will you travel farther away?

I would imagine sites permitting full auto indoors would be the exception rather than the general rule, except for private games, as you're usually going to have no MED rule indoors.

An indoor site to skirmish, preferably within 90 minutes drive of Woking area.

You make a good point regarding full auto, any will do to be honest.

There is zmart up in Newbury however gameplay wise it is quite different to the ucap sites. It's more catered to speedsofters and can get quite hectic.

If you can stretch your journey by 10-15 minutes, may I suggest RIFT Airsoft's Blackstone CQB in Huntingdon?

Thank you, will check it out but it is a bit far from me.

Invicta black site is really good fun, indoors, up close and personal, quite dark so you need to use the light to help with tactics, everyone is friendly, according to Google it's about an hour from Woking.

It's not full auto as the engagement distance is usually 5-10m and semi is plenty.  I use my MP5K with a Gate Astor for fast trigger response so can get a good number of BB's in the air.

Have you tried the tunnels at Epsom? They're a bit light on facilities but well run and being underground the weather isn't so much of a factor

This. The only site I've seen which allowed full auto in cqb was electrowerkz in London and that shut almost 20 years ago

I'd possibly dispute the 'well run' aspect of this! I've had some great evenings there, but also some very average evenings -  50/50. Last few times I went (admittedly must be a year or so ago), there was no safety brief, chrono was a little perfunctory, and the only marshall that was in evidence was a player marshal who was repeatedly accused of cheating by the opposition team to an extent that the entire team walked out midway through the final game and left.

But - I have had some awesome evenings there, perhaps just go along with your eyes open.

To the OP - you will know your kids and their nature, and clearly have indoor/CQB experience already with them. I haven’t played at the CQB sites you mention, but note that at both the Invicta black site and the Epsom tunnels the ranges you get hit from are very low - frequently less than a meter. I often come away bleeding and always with an assortment of sizeable bruises. Taking kids there - be aware that it will be impossible really for you to 'curate' their experience if that makes sense.

That's a shame to hear. I admit I've only been a handful of times and mainly on the Wednesday evenings. The only real gripe I've had is that sometimes the wait between games can be a bit long.

Either way I encourage anyone to try as many sites as possible as I've had great days at supposedly crap sites and there are some supposedly good sites I wouldn't go back to if i was paid.
