Dead gun after shooting 200 bbs with new gears

Hello,

I have had a new gear set in my ARP 9 which is a 1/14.

These are high speed gears and they are in my ARP 9 with a gate aster installed.

After I had them installed I fired 200 rounds on full auto bursts and semi on 11.1 lipos.

Then nothing, The piston just stopped and a bb was waiting at the end of the nozzle. (I removed the BB).

Now it doesn't beep when I plug in the battery and the aster just flashes red.

It had the stock gears in and worked fine before the install.

What has gone wrong? Any ideas?

Thanks

Thanks.

I will have a look.

Just a quick question.

Using 11.1 lipos with 1/14 gears.

Will this effect the gears life span in the long run?

Are you only supposed to use 7.4s with 1/14?
Thanks

Bad shimming and/or timing will make more of a difference.

That and an over active Extensor indicis.

Your Aster unit is likely damaged or has a wiring issue. The flashing red light usually means an error or short. Check for gear misalignment or mechanical binding and inspect all wiring connections. If everything looks fine mechanically, the Aster may need repair or replacement.
