Defcon has them in as well. I’m definitely intending to pick one up.

I have sets of the GHK plates if anyone wants to mount a red dot. £20 posted. Don’t go and pay the ridiculous £30 plus postage that some shops are asking.

Do you have an ACRO mount?

I have the GHK official mounts with the 4 plates to cover practically all red dot sights. Will be £22 including postage & fees now.

Unfortunately, I don’t think the ACRO fits on those mounts. BFA do a steel mounting plate for the ACRO, so I guess I’ll need one of those.

Not familiar with the ACRO sight, but it sounds like it needs a different mount.

Are the trades on these accurate to RS and no Licensed by rubbish?  If so got and ERG going out the door tonight, might just grab that last one. :)

Trades are very nicely done but alas it does have a "officially licensed by Glock" on the bottom right of the grip. Easily remedied with a bit of stippling. One thing to note to get the best out the pistol you will need a 4UAD hop unit (stock one is dogshit) and trigger. If the striker housing moves will also benefit from a bit of shimming.

Even with all that the Gen 5 is still my favourite pistol. Trigger break and blow back always put a smile on my face, the light mags are nice to. Been running mine on Co2 and 220 PSI gas in the GG mags. When I save up enough pocket money next buy is the steel slide.

I put a steel slide on one of my VFC Glock 45s and it made it really sluggish. Put a 130% recoil spring on and it made little difference, even when running on CO2.

Don't know how the GHKs will be with steel slides but apparently it's quite normal for them to run/cycle worse than with ally slides.

Have the Gen 3 and runs amazing. In winter it empty's and locks back with snow on the ground (with 220psi gas) running on Co2 its hard not to get tight pants when using it :). Sad part is its made me relegate all my other pistols to the eventually sell category.

Edit: Anonymoose you might of never seen the insides of one so the reason GHKs kick so hard and can run heavy slides soo well is the basically have an AR style nozzle in them and are hammerless. So huge expansion chamber with not having to overcome a hammer.  Blow back comparison vid

Cheers for that mate, how much do you reckon the Steel Slides will be?

Been out for awhile https://www.proactstore.com/products/bfa-steel-slide-barrel-set-for-ghk-g17-gen5-mos more expensive than the pistol :)

Sorry you seem to know your way around a glock ;) ive got a completely stock TM glock 17 gen 3 which I've had for like 8 years and I've always liked the idea of a metal slide, what upgrades would you recommend for it or any specific slides youd use? Or is there any real reason to treat myself to a new gen5? :D

The TM  Gen 5’s are sweet

but it’ll be a while IF EVER they come out again

Id doubt very much you will find a new one, and used ones are holding prices very well

Damn, i think i'll need to add one to my collection now. Didn't realize they were so different inside and can run a steel slide well. When i built my VFC one it was pretty disappointing.
