Headsets

Hi, I'm thinking about getting a headset for my son and I and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I see there's plenty of choice but are they any good, was hoping to see whoever has a set thinks they are worth their money. Thanks in advance.

Are you on about some rip off Comtacs? They do the job you need for airsofting. Some even have noise cancelling/amplification on them. Obviously nothing like the read deal, but they do the trick. Do you want comms aswell? They work with Baofengs too, if that is what you are running.

Yeah something that ain't going to break the bank, looking, say the earmor, by the time you get the ptt etc it's nearly £200 x 2 if i get one as well, which i pretty much have to or there's no sense. I have the coms and just using fist mics was just wondering if they do enhance the sound, cancel out the highs etc etc.

You're going to love me or hate me, but let me introduce you to AliExpress. They do earmors at a fraction of the cost, and from what I can tell they're identical to the ones you'd buy locally.

 

Now that you know AliExpress exists, have fun buying loads of cheap tat for airsoft that you don't really need. You're welcome.

I took my chance with some Ali express earmors. Fraction of the cost, arrived with one cup outputting constant static unfortunately.

How are you getting to £200 a person?

What you're getting for the extra over Aliexpress is no quibbles warranty access. I had a unit with a faulty cable, 10 minutes of back and forth in emails of diagnosis, brand new unit at no cost.

I paid as little as £32 for the Earmor M32 Mod.4 from AliExpress. There's really no need to go about buying from de facto dropshipping UK outlets - when you can buy them for as little as £26 (without PTT wiring) with free shipping, and a pretty straightforward full refund policy by AliExpress for if anything is faulty with the item.

I know you should know what you are in for when ordering from Ali-X, but this one took me slightly by surprise. 
I ordered some M32 Mod 4 / SE32 (lol, you can see where this is going) with rail arms from Ali express for similar money to the post above. 
What arrived this afternoon was interesting. 

I received, in pretty poor/trashed packaging, some (presumably knockoff M32) SE32s with rail arms and a PTT. 
Unlike the official units, the packaging was insufficient, hence it got trashed by the farse that is Evri. No nice case/bag that comes with the legit models.
The unit itself appears possibly unused, though the PTT was in the box for the rail arms, and the rail arms were in the box with the headset, so I suspect this was returned by someone and sent strait out to me.
The whole thing looks like its been to Ukraine and back, which is fun, because its came in a Russian box with Russian instructions! 
I've not been to get some batteries to see if they work yet, also not sure I've got the nerve in-case they have been tampered with 😉. 

Has anyone else received something similar?
