Karnus
Hey - I saw this M14: I love it, and want to replicate it. The only problem is I can't see how the silencer goes right up against the body. The faux gas block is also another issue I can't figure out. Any help would be appreciated in copying this beautiful rifle. The silencer on it is a madbull quicksilver in matte black. Thanks in advance
Supporters M_P Posted August 24, 2011 Supporters Share Posted August 24, 2011 id assume, a lot of cutting down the barrel and other parts at the front and then tapping a thread on the end for the supressor
REMSoft
Perhaps you should ask the guy who originally made it? I assume you got that from the DMR thread on Zero in?
Karnus
That's right yes. I did message him a few days ago but I have had no reply yet. I've asked on the zero in forum but haven't had much luck so I thought i would try a different community I do hope there is a way around it without resorting to hacking bits off
Supporters M_P Posted August 24, 2011 Supporters Share Posted August 24, 2011 I doubt it, judging by the shape of m14's you'll have to do a fair few mods
Karnus
I doubt it, judging by the shape of m14's you'll have to do a fair few mods I'll take my m14 to bits when I get in and see what can be done. How would one "tap a thread" if I cut down the barrel? Thinking about doing it to my beloved M14 doesn't bode well at all can't make omelette without cracking eggs I suppose... Supporters Rock-climby-Dave Posted August 24, 2011 Supporters Share Posted August 24, 2011 If you aren't sure what 'tapping a thread' means at this stage - give it to someone with far more experience. The tools to tap a 14mmCCW thread are expensive and rare.

My new partner runs a airsoft upgrade and repair service. rb
