I got an email today, Novritsch have updated their M4 with some small improvements...

https://eu.novritsch.com/product/ssr4-automatic-electric-gun-aeg/

Note that the lighter (cheaper) polymer is only 100g lighter than the metal variant.  Only the difference in the bank balance after purchase would be noticeable 🤗

My friend's had his SSR4 since we both started airsoft over two years ago and it's never missed a beat - pretty sure he's never even cleaned the thing (I've offered lol) and it just troopers on while sounding decent & shooting with good range, so for the price & white glove aftercare you can't really go wrong, esp. with the new version two of it coming out like you've mentioned

Luke at Negative does the warranty work on them in the UK, which is indeed a big recommendation.  I would actually agree that if you have a wodge of money and just want "bestest M4" then you'd be as well buying the SSR4 as anything else.

Assuming we mean just do nothing , absolutely nothing to it then I’ve Had great results from a pair of Specna edge 2.0 models , recently picked up one of the new WELL WE-10 series ( Sig Rattler clones)  and it absolutely rips , real fun little gun and although my distaste for polymer body’s when they should be monkey metal it’s really quite impressive , trademarked to a fashion , internally it’s running like a boss . At around £170 it’s looking like a great value gun so far.

Finally got a chance to test mine today and I’m VERY impressed!
As you said, it actually rips!

Runs very nicely on an 11.1 20C - super snappy and the gearbox sounds very happy.
Accuracy is exceptional with the stock internals and hops 0.32s beautifully.
I bought a super macron and omega nub to put in it as I wasn’t expecting much from the stock setup, but I’m more than happy with it so will save those for another day/project.

For £180 it’s a fantastic RIF

Where'd you get it from? Interested in picking one up considering the price & does it have the SIG trades wherever you got it from?

Just ordered one (the WELL MCX) from Bespoke tonight, hopefully it comes with the nice little trades on. Also ordered the sliding stock instead of the side folding one, so oops. Hopefully they can send me the other one instead because I've gotten in contact.

EDIT: They completely ignored my email, packed it first thing in the morning while I was in work and couldn’t contact them and it arrives tomorrow. Maybe it’ll grow on me otherwise I’m losing a tenner to send the thing back to get the cool stock 🫠

Yes, comes with pretty convincing trades.
I got mine from Defcon. No complaints with their service, but worth noting that they use UPS for delivery - may be a deciding factor for some people.

Nice little AEG for the price. I wasn't happy with the battery space so made a longer handguard.

Looks like a good solution. I’d say the battery space is the only down side I’ve come across so far.

Arrived today after enough fucking around with Parcelforce being useless as usual - I've done a complete 180 on the MPX style stock as suprisingly I absolutely love it!

spacer.png

Got stuck right in & now it looks awesome, a little adjustment of the motor height to align it properly and it's now absolutely singing on 11.1v (fair warning, 7.4v & 9.9v aren't enough to drive the mosfet and will cause semi to become a three shot inconsistent burst and it sounds very unhappy)

Absolutely made up with it. Massive thanks to everybody in this thread for putting me onto this thing & and I can't wait to field it! (after I get some batteries that fit the PEQ lol)

Good looking Rattler builds, I'd been looking at picking up a short SMG for indoor games early next year and hadn't realised anyone made an AEG version of the Rattler.

I’ve removed the fake gas block and tucked an 11.1 / 1100mah battery in there , it is threaded , standard -14mm .

How difficult was it to remove the gas block? I don't mind battery boxes but the wires snaking out just looks like a snag hazard waiting to happen resulting in breaking out the soldering iron. Guessing the 11.1 you are running yours on is a stick type battery you would see used with models like the G&G ARP series?

Being on the cheaper end of the spectrum I know things like working bolt catches aren't the norm (Specna still don't seem to do that and their more expensive models are in the mid tier cost bracket) but do parts like the QD points work as you would expect?

easy , two pins & grub screw iirc , battery is as you say an 11.1 / 1100mah .

QD points work no problem 👍🏼

I have also acquired one of these and like everyone else has said, this thing rips.

Could you fit a standard peq box battery inside the stock handguard or do you need an extended one like yours?
