Hi all.

To people in the know, is there a significant difference in range and accuracy between .36g and .40g bb. I use Geoff’s bb’s (.40g) for my DMR and was about to order some more and thought of this.

Any insight to this would be great.

You might find this video helpful. Obviously ideal bb weight affected by how much power your DMR is allowed to put out. I lean towards "the heaviest you can get away with".  But that's very thumb in the air.

on paper the 0.4g is better, although how much better will depend on your own standards, the capability of the pew doing the launching and prevailing weather conditions.

ofc wether or not it's enough better to justify the higher cost per round is an entirely personal thing and there's no real right or wrong answer.

For me it's like others have said, finding that sweet spot that suits the DMR you've built, and for me that's been 0.40g after trying a few other weights (however, I only use my DMR for the first half of a days skirmish as I can't afford it for a whole day).

best way is just grab a bag and try running them for a game, see if they're still performing well enough for your playstyle.
