FYI, I ordered from WGC last year and no declaration for parts, it sailed through. Placed another order last week and just had an email from UPS asking for my UKARA for parts!

Filled it in, will update as it goes on...

Last year ?, so did you receive that order ?, if so is this relating to a new order ?

🤔

Gosh I made that terribly unclear didn't I? What I was trying to say was my first order sailed through with no customs or RIF declaration (also only parts, similar value) but my latest one has been picked up for both.

Thanks for clarifying that, I should imagine that now most EU suppliers are paying the duty at source, they're focusing on other regions for maximum revenue generation 🤬

Well this has turned into a right saga. Filled in their little form, got another text saying I needed to submit more info. Went on the form and lo, it didn't work and I had to email them instead. Sent the email, then received further requests for info but nothing more I can send. Next I get an email saying it's cleared and I need to pay the fees, so I pay the fees and it says I need to provide more info again!

Having sat in the warehouse for another two days, I rang up the customs team at UPS today. They said it had cleared and if I needed to book a delivery I should speak to customer services. After a transfer to customer services, they said it still hadn't cleared customs... After much department passing back and forth, they've booked a delivery for Monday. Let's see if it turns up eh!

  • 1 month later...

Just spent a month in UPS limbo back and forth with the RIF / invoices showing what it was. (B-11 foregrip for AK74su).
Then I get an e-mail 6th June 9:40
Blah Blah Blah

"As a matter of urgency, please provide us with your clearance instructions; including:

Customs query: Under declaration Item 3, for commodity code 93031000 a DBT Licence is mandatory against document code 9100. Exemption type/document status “XX” is not valid for this document."

So do the old googling and customs Gov search.
Commondity code 93031000 is for Muzzle loading firearms and 9100 details the documents needed, (a firearms licence)

My reply 6th June 10:52

Commodity code should either be
93040000 - Other arms (for example, spring, air or gas guns and pistols, truncheons)
Or
93059900 - Parts and accessories of articles of headings 9301 to 9304 (Military weapons/revolvers/firearms/Other arms (for example, spring, air or gas guns and pistols, truncheons)
These parts should be exempt as they are superficial parts that can't be used to create a firearm or change a Realistic Imitation Firearm into a firearm.

Code 9020 - This product is exempt as it does not meet the definition of a firearm, component part of a firearm, ammunition or a restricted firearms accessory as detailed in domestic firearms legislation. This exemption covers items such as - Air weapons not subject to control or restriction under domestic firearms legislation.

6th June 16:15
Get the e-mail for Import charges are due for this package. Select Pay Now (where available) or pay at delivery.

Delivered 10th June.
One day it took to sort it all, i was raging.
I'll be adding these numbers to my RIF declaration and purchase comments in the future.
