Mostly Retired Moderators L3wisD Posted March 1, 2020 Mostly Retired Moderators Share Posted March 1, 2020 Hello mate, welcome to the gang! Your best bet might be sweet talking @Rogerborg and/or @Musica about joining them at The Depot. It's a cool indoor CQB sight so can get nice and personal at short ranges or if you find someone who plays at Section 8, that is a great woodland site not too far out of the city. Musica
Hello scootmc1. I just got back from the Depot today. They do official planned games every 2 weeks on a Sunday and hire kit costs £52 this gives you a gun, magazine and full face mesh mask. Here is their events page where you can book for these games but unfortunately they are booked solid for a month for Hires currently so soonest you could attend one of these games is April. April 12th or 26th should be the next games but they haven't posted them yet. https://www.thedepotglasgow.com/product-category/depot-events/#page-content I see some players get a taxi to site I don't think there is any trains nearby but I'm sure a bus can drop you close enough I have never lived in Glasgow without a car so I am pretty useless navigating it via other means sorry. Here is a google link to where yo need to get to. https://goo.gl/maps/KeM64yH2rjyxT5zVA They do post other games on their facebook page either night games and half day games. I would avoid the night games the site is dark enough let alone pitch black. If you want to attend one of these games they usually have 2 paypal links 1 for hire 1 for walk on and if they don't just message the page asking if you can attend that specific day as a hire and they should send you back a paypal link. I would avoid these they are less structured than the official games

Supporters Rogerborg Posted March 2, 2020 Supporters Share Posted March 2, 2020 Hi, I've just seen your PM, but @Musica has already covered it. The Depot is very hire-friendly, and it's no problem to rock up on your own - you'll quickly get friendly fire help and advice. Their website is much better than the usual Facebook "lol just arsk us m8" stuff and covers pretty much everything that you'll need to know: https://www.thedepotglasgow.com/ I agree that a night game would be a pretty extreme way to start, and you would need some sort of lighting which you won't get with a hire package. Your problem is indeed getting booked in, so you'll want to mash F5 on http://thedepotglasgow.com/product-category/depot-events/ and bag a spot as soon as it comes up. I will say that the mesh masks provided with hire packages aren't great, so if there's one thing you would benefit from, it's your own eye / face protection. You'll usually find some saint in the safe zone loaning out glasses though...
