Supporters Gepard Posted April 6, 2018 Supporters Share Posted April 6, 2018 “As the Superintendent of the Edgewood City Schools, I assure you that any social media threat will be taken serious including those who ‘like’ the post when it potentially endangers the health and safety of students or adversely affects the educational process,” Mr. Fussnecker said. lol what? Fucking delusional I haven't seen something so dumb since that ATF agent seized a shipment of airsoft guns claiming they could be converted into real firearms. edit: This happened in May 2017. The school dropped the suspension after the backlash.
Supporters Rogerborg Posted April 6, 2018 Supporters Share Posted April 6, 2018 Yes, it was an over-reaction by some rabidly anti-gun soy-boy. But to be fair, there's nothing in the image that indicated that it's an airsoft gun, and they dropped it entirely after they established that he wasn't going to go shooty-bananas. What's perhaps more concerning is that the school is apparently monitoring their students' social media use. Daily Rant covers it in more detail: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4488386/Boy-suspended-liking-Instagram-photo-gun.html

And there had previously been a school shooting nearby which would make people somewhat sensitive to the issue of kids and guns. So remember not to use social media for viewing gins or adding likes to photos of them; now where was that lovely TM HK45 picture I wanted to like...
