Cerbo Knight Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 I look forward to those results. But I think what PTW owners fail to understand, is that a PTW is just an upgraded AEG. Regular AEGs have plenty of potential for upgrades, where the systema has none but could really do with some especially around the hop unit area.
Tungsten Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 I've always wanted a M60!how much did it cost you? £339 for the M60 £40 for the rail as A&K feed tray covers don't come with rails, so I took one off a ares feed tray cover and epoxyed it on An M60 is such a thing to lug around, lol.
Callum Snell Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 I'm afraid I went apshit on the target and put 120 rounds into it, being the gun-toting 18 year-old that I am. Oops... Swapping the Upper for an XM Upper ASAP.
masadanator Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 that gun is f*cking awsome it want it but money me be an issue
Supporters M_P Posted September 22, 2011 Author Supporters Posted September 22, 2011 Buy a tm socom/ sopmod then- less that half the price, almost as good (performance wise) with the option to upgrade.... alot. And you get recoil too, it has the bolt lock feature as well

Supporters M_P Posted September 22, 2011 Author Supporters Posted September 22, 2011 Make one from a tm, it'll perform even better due to the amazing hop up
masadanator Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Make one from a tm, it'll perform even better due to the amazing hop up no its the custom gear box one the reason is because i want to be able to put one together as a challenge
Supporters M_P Posted September 22, 2011 Author Supporters Posted September 22, 2011 I see, fair enough then. I think its better to spend time (and effort) building guns, it helps you (if your newer) to learn about internals and how it all works and if your an older player its just more fun.
Callum Snell Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Putting together a Challenge kit is great fun
Supporters M_P Posted September 22, 2011 Author Supporters Posted September 22, 2011 I've got admit that'd be fun. However a completely custom built gbbr will do the same thing and be more realistic . Would like to do one at somepoint though.- do they come with the silver buffer tune?
Callum Snell Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 I think not. The Silver Buffer tupe is Li-Po Modded.
Cerbo Knight Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Really? A guy at my local had a silver tube on before he sent his to Tack. Do you think it's different depending on the year/model?
Callum Snell Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Not too sure. I just know mine's sil;ber
Supporters M_P Posted September 23, 2011 Author Supporters Posted September 23, 2011 I think not. Have ever looked at a gbbr before? its miles more realistic.... or are you talking about the inclusion of the silver buffer tube?
Supporters M_P Posted September 24, 2011 Author Supporters Posted September 24, 2011 Ah, that makes sense then For those interested, its all the 'max' ones that have the silver buffer tube
Mitchell Gee Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 I'm with Cerbo and Marksman on this one... although if I was offered a PTW I wouldn't say no... even if it's just for braggin' rights
Supporters M_P Posted September 24, 2011 Author Supporters Posted September 24, 2011 Or u could sell it and buy me a couple of gbbr uppers
Cerbo Knight Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 I think buying them for me too would be a nice thing to do
Supporters M_P Posted September 24, 2011 Author Supporters Posted September 24, 2011 Well to be fair if the barrel was anything shorter than 16'' u could have it- I wouldn't be interested
Cerbo Knight Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 If it's anything shorter than 10.5" I don't want it either (I want a 10.5" for my L119A1 setup )
Supporters M_P Posted September 24, 2011 Author Supporters Posted September 24, 2011 Haha, a gbbr sfw is next on my list too Btw, can you actually get the 16'' barrel section to fit on a gbb cw barrel?
Cerbo Knight Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 It's been done IIRC, so there must be some way of doing it
Supporters M_P Posted September 24, 2011 Author Supporters Posted September 24, 2011 Actually I think Muzzy made one- ill talk to him
