silver145
Hi All, the bolt that connects the M4 stockholder to the gearbox/spring/main body of the M4 - anybody know the size/length/name of this bolt? Mine is stripped and need another.(this is on a G&G using v2 gearbox) FYI posted in wrong section by mistake - if MOD could move as appropriate please Cheers
Baz JJ
G&G provide exploded diagrams for their products enabling you to find the part number. You can then order from their spares dept in Taiwan. Good service.
ak2m4
i'm pretty sure back in the day I had to replace mine on a G&G LR300 and just used one from another tube
Supporters Shizbazki Posted November 7, 2016 Supporters Share Posted November 7, 2016 I think your after the screw that attaches the M4 buffer tube to the spring guide in the gearbox. You might find that taking the screw down to B&Q or your local DIY shop and comparing it with other screws might help, or just contact G&G. Supporters Sitting Duck Posted November 7, 2016 Supporters Share Posted November 7, 2016 I'm quite sure this is correct but don't sue me.... Stock Tube bolt is an M5 thread Gearbox screws are M3 thread - gearbox "pan/countersink" types & the v2 M16/M4 aeg pistol grip's are M3 thread "flange" type "think" AK pistol grip bolt into motor frame/cage is M4 thread (AK pistol grip is the one I'm not quite 101% sure of but I'm guessing coz M3 is too small & M5 too big i think - been a while since I re-did an ak)
