Heard that this is a thing now, seen it advertised on Facebook and stuff. Whilst looking for reviews of the M27 i came across the Airsoft TV review.

I watched and i basically think that airsoft tv is now an advertising company.

He just kept saying that the M27 is basically a HK416 when talking about externals. i dont recall him mentioning the internals.

On the Range test is fair ok as he was shooting at a tiny metal duck so cant expect to hit every shot.

The Chrono was where i got bit confused.

The Fps was all over the place. there was a difference of about 60ish Fps ranging from 340 ish to 410! with about 3/4 of the shots fired over 360.

He then states yer it settled at about 350 ish (Bull) and that Armex chrono all guns so they shoot at around 350! (Massive Bull)

He was using a 7.4 Nimh. so standard batt.

The Gun would be refused at like every site unless it was converted to semi.

Fully Not impressed with the company on the back of that review.

Thoughts?? Am I being to Harsh?

lol average fps.

If it hits over 350 once its banned from most sites, no matter what the "Average" is.

well i looked through it again and counted shots and out of 23 shots i believe the average to have been about 370. (369.3) to be precise. so makes me think hes talking out of his bottom when he said they check everyone that goes out as the first 5 shots were 366+

Thing is its quite a new channel ect so there prob just trying to find there feet. Give them a few years and it should be rather good.

Ive not actually seen it as i dont have sky, but cant see the Mrs sitting in letting me watch it with her. Dont know if they do but they should host events that have teams vs teams kinda thing. Almost makes me wana get sky just to check it out.

I think they ought to have started the show on YouTube and then if ratings were positive, progressed to TV.

The show sucks donkey balls, the only thing I like is the intro, but even then it's too long.

They seem to think that if they can make all the camera work and editing look fancy, people will watch it. When in reality, if the content is shit, the show is shit, no amount of dressing it up is going to help.

not to big you up Ed but the only airsoft videos i tend to enjoy are yours as they tend to have a decent amount of action, commentary and general shenanigans. i dont get why everyone watchs scoutthedoggies as they are psch and boring, just point the camera at different people for a while and puts up what gun they use.

I'd be interested to know the production values behind the show - how much comes from sponsorship by manufacturers or retailers.

I think the problem with the show is that it doesn't quite know what it wants to be - is it something for die-hard airsoft veterans, or something for people who've never heard of airsoft? That's part (but not all) of the reason that the content is so lacking, in that it seems to just wildly around from stuff that only experienced players know, to stuff so simple that anyone who's been playing for 3 months knows it.

Episode 1's bit on starting airsoft/first airsoft kit could have been a lot better. It straddled the line between new-players and veterans, and failed inform either group; missing large bits of important information out, or repeating things they'd already said earlier in the show. Take two-tones. They only mentioned them in passing, but I think it probably would have helped if they actually had a two-tone (or photo of one) to show the audience - as their explanation of two-tones was rather poor - not very helpful for a section of the show trying to inform potential new players how to get involved.

Add to that, some of the stuff could be better filmed/edited. Like the reviews of guns. They really need to try to find and somewhere quieter, or get better microphones, as I've found there are times when its possible to hear background noise clearer than I can hear their actual reviews.

It's an interesting idea for a show - but poorly implemented. They need to work out exactly who they're aiming for, and target the show accordingly - rather than the current, scattered approach they currently have.

yer i totally get that. it just seems confused. i just want a decent honest review of a gun. giving feel, fps, distance, compatibility and reliabilty. i want decent action vids where people arent just shooting off at trees with no visable target.
