Jourdan_S
Not really, it's more the diameter of the barrel and how good your hop up and air seal are. range is dictated by the hop, accuracy (and sometimes fps) is dictated by the barrel So guys, what do you think of my q's? Any answers ??!!!
Mike636
I personally wouldn't get a sidearm yet, most seasoned airsofters don't use theirs that often if they are honest. Battery would depend on the gun and if its wired to the front or rear but a 7.4v 1600 MaH should last you a day if you charge using a smart charger. For clothing anything army surplus will do as its cheap, in supply and built to take punishment! You will need eye protection and I would get a pair of boots Extras I would get is a spare battery, smart charger, spare magazines, load carrying kit and a pair of gloves Accessorys for your gun are personal preference , you don't need them, they just look shiny! Jourdan_S
(Before you do read this, i am yet to attend a skirmish site before i purchase these Airsoft Guns!) Ok guys guys, after the awesome help, i've managed to find the best Airsoft gun! Here it is ---> http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?products_id=5645 Also, as my side arm i will have this! (Any other recommendations?) ----> http://www.zerooneai...roducts_id=8236 (Do you know where i can get spare mags for this?!) It'll also really help if you could help me choose a sight for my Assault Rifle. I was thinking this ----> http://www.airsoftworld.net/gun-accessories/sights-scopes-and-mounts/multi-reticle-holo-sight-1851.html Also, buying spare mags for my CM16, but still cant find spare mags for the Desert Warrior! Already sorted out lubes / cleaning and stuff! Finally, please could you guys help me choose my gear, such as vests, armor, clothes etc. I am quite small (please keep that in mind)! Thank you guys soo much for the help, really appreciate it. Just one more question (cant seem to find this on the internet); Is there a list of EVERYTHING you need to start airsofting with an AEG (inc. gear and stuff etc?) !Thanks once again! We can help bro, but you might want to take alook yourself first and then ask us if it's good gear, rather than getting us to scour the internet to find you don't like it. Whenever i've made a topic (Which i've made a fair few :L) I've always done some background research first and then asked the guys on here to back up my decisions, or help with things I can't find anywhere else. Good brands are: Warrior and Flyye (Others aswell, but they're the tried and trusted ones) Here are a few good places to look for gear: http://www.airsoftworld.net/ http://www.actionhobbies.co.uk/ http://www.landwarriorairsoft.com/ http://www.shootercbgear.com/

Spawnah
I've gotta agree with Shinobi, you're unlikely to use your sidearm at all unless you go out of your way to use it. Save your money unless you're sure you need it.

You could go Red Dot/HoloSight, like you've said. And for £36, you might be able to get better. G&P Holo's are $55 I think? Jourdan_S
If you're just starting, you don't need one- save the money. Well as i really, and i mean really do not like to stock iron sights on the CM16, should i get these? ---->http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Magpul-MBUS-Back-Up-Sight-Front-Rear-Tactical-PTS-Airsoft-UK-Stock-5016-/171093409831?pt=UK_SportingGoods_OtherSports&var=&hash=item27d5f64027
Jourdan_S
A i am getting other sights for my CM16 Carbine, maybe a red dot sight or eo tech sight, but the CM16's front Iron site is in the way! I have looked at videos on how to remove it but it also takes of the sling mount, and as this doesn't have an R.I.S rail, so, where can i fit one in?! So as i will be definitely getting the Magpul MBUS Sights, they look awesome and are easy to use! Here they are ---> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Magpul-MBUS-Back-Up-Sight-Front-Rear-Tactical-PTS-Airsoft-UK-Stock-5016-/171093409831?pt=UK_SportingGoods_OtherSports&var=&hash=item27d5f64027 Going to stick with the Red dot sight from before as they have a variety of reticles, its cheap and easy to use! ----> http://www.airsoftworld.net/gun-accessories/sights-scopes-and-mounts/multi-reticle-holo-sight-1851.html But still could anyone give me a short list on all the essential gear (all i mean by this is clothing, armor etc.) i need for Airsofting? Thanks
Supporters jcheeseright Posted August 12, 2013 Supporters Share Posted August 12, 2013 the foresight on an armalite gun doesn't get in the way. You're making the same mistake every new player does and buying loads of shiny but unnecessary stuff because you 'need' it. Save the money you would have spent on MBUS sights (the ones you linked are cheap chinese knock offs too, extremely low quality) and buy another magazine, or a pouch, or put it towards buying better eye protection! TacMaster
If you're buying any pouches, chest rigs etc Tactical Tailor and Begadi make extremely good products, I have a TT chest rig and it's lasted me 2 years or so, and my Begadi pouches have lasted me that time as well. Begadi also make the famous 'micro' chest rigs which only have mag pouches on them, they come in many camo patterns and they're usually under £30 each. As for boots, from what I've heard Lowas are very good, however I only trust British Assault Boots. I've owned 2 pairs in the past and they were brilliant on excersizes and during training, there are lightweight versions of them as well. Gun- don't bother with a pistol, I don't use mine that often nor do the regulars at my site. G&G is a very good choice, however there are G&G Top Tech (better than Combat Machine) models on sale at ProAirsoftSupplies for decent money. Don't bother buying any accessories for your AEG, all I've done to my MP5 in the 2 years of owning it was put a G&P aimpoint-style sight on it. Foregrips are usually a waste of time, I've seen people who splash out on a £40 foregrip and not use it once during the game day. Ultimately, don't buy anything until you've got yourself to a skirmish and then onto the UKARA database.

For now, ill stick with the Combat Machine as its lightwieght, and alot less expensive, which gives me room for other accories, my gear, and stuff like that. But maybe ill get that an an 'upgrade' to the Combat Machine. Thanks alot mate!
