gwr3850 Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 I'm quite fond of the old style Urban as if a cow was milked on a baking tray but at the minute my favourite is this A-TACS AU Thinking of getting trousers in this pattern for my new look
Supporters Lozart Posted October 10, 2013 Supporters Posted October 10, 2013 As kind of an aside (albeit a spectacularly geeky one), this is quite an interesting and in-depth article on the development of modern camo patterns with specific refences to the differences between MARPAT/CADPAT/AOR1/AOR2/Multicam etc and what drives the choice for the users. Gets a bit in depth but quite interesting. http://www.hyperstealth.com/camo-improvement/index.html
murph Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Multicam is what all the PJs and DEA FAST guys use which I think looks bloody cool. I also really like the woodland AOR pattern. Overall though, as mainstream as it is, Multicam is probably my fave.
PhillipR34 Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 JGSDF camo is my favourite, I think it would be pretty effective too.
Supporters Ian_Gere Posted October 10, 2013 Supporters Posted October 10, 2013 ^^Well yeah, flecktarn is very effective in woodland and crops, so I expect you're right. The Japanese camo is basically flecktarn with slightly bigger blobs, I think. Gotta love the gear too - they've obviously looked at the environments their soldiers may be asked to patrol in and thought, "IEDu!" and taken care of their nads accordingly.
Namaco Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 JGSDF camo is my favourite, I think it would be pretty effective too. I love it too, I actually plan to buy JGSDF loadout as well.
PhillipR34 Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Yeah, I've been watching some videos of them and they have got the colours spot on for Japanese countryside.
PhillipR34 Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Oh and Namaco if you're thinking of making a JGSDF loadout then you may be interested in this http://www.shootercbgear.com/product_info.php?products_id=6349{2}40
