Ermmahgerd!

So much awesome gaming shit!

What are people looking forward to? What are your thoughts on the consoles?

Personally, I think I'll be going for the PS4, it seems to be a bit of a no brainer for me. Games I'm anticipating? All of the ones I've heard of so far lol.

Battlefield 4 is top of the list, but Ubisoft's The Division looks pretty boss, The Watch Dogs, Titanfall looks a tad awesome, though I think it's X1 exclusive =[

Then there's Metal Gear Solid 5, going open world, pretty damn excited about that. World of Tanks is coming to console.

I'm starting to not see any point in buying a gaming PC, the line that divides the console and PC markets is practically gone from where I'm standing. PC still has a few titles I can't get on the consoles, like Arma and a few mods, but all the triple A stuff will be available to console, console will be getting 64 player servers, 60fps, 1080p resolutions and I can get one without needing to fork out for a desk, a hammer to clear a space for the desk, the hassle of building the machine with no knowledge of how to do it, no need to buy a monitor, mouse, keyboard...

Think I'm just going to get a PS4 and let that be the end of it.

Well, I can certainly say that my time as a Microsoft supporter has well and truly ended. Ignoring all the (non-gaming) crap - I'm just not willing to pay £450. I've been laughing my head off every time MS staff or fanboys try to justify the Xbone's features.

I'm not sure I'll be hopping over to Sony right away though. But... The Order 1866 has certainly grabbed my attention, and if that means I have to (at some point) buy a PS4... so be it.

Star Wars Battlefront 3 - wow, that's only what, 7 years too late? I always wanted to see another, absolutely loved SWBF-2 played it far too much. Still, I'll be watching this one with interest. Could turn out to be amazing.

Other than that, I feel a little be underwhelmed by it all really.

Dragon Age 3 was a no-brainer, since they said it was going to be a trilogy.

I want to like BF4 - but after the shambles that was MoH:2, I'm wary of raising my hopes.

WoT is only going to the 360 (a bit late...), and possibly the Xbone.

Wary of raising your hopes? Have you not seen the multiplayer footage? Sweet Jesus it looks immencularious!

I don't deny that BF4 looks good. But after MoH:2, yes, I'm not going to raise my hopes. I was looking forward to MoH2, the promo material and trailers made it look awesome. It wasn't. Trailers can be very different to what eventually comes out. The recent Aliens Colonial Marines game is another case, the "game play" trailer was nothing of the sort... Look at it this way, I can't be disappointed if I have low hopes - if when it comes out, and it is 100% pure weapons grade awesome - I'll be happy and can enjoy a great game. A pessimist is never disappointed :P

Re-watched The Order: 1866. Mother of God. The idea of steam-punk monster/alien hunter in London sounds great.

I've still not seen anything for that, doesn't sound all that appealing to me, but maybe it'll be cool, I'll look into it.

Did you play the first MoH? 'Cos that was hardly great, the campaign had some great features and attention to detail, loved the lean mechanic, sliding to cover, the fact that weapon's fire selectors actually moved when you changed firemode etc. but the gameplay was clunky as hell and the multiplayer was almost literally a different game.

I think 90% of people knew Warshiter was going to be a bag of balls. I just saw it as EA forcing Danger Close to produce a sequel, limiting them on time, and then just to get it to sell because they're money grabbing bitches, they attached BF4 beta access to it, knowing it wouldn't have been financially viable otherwise.

But yeah, I'm with you on the ideals of pessimism, I say that exact same thing to people all the time when people call me a mardy sod.

Yeah lots of good stuff announced.

Very much looking forward to the new Battlefront, and halo.

I'll get the ps4 though I'll.probably pick up the Xbox at some point for forza, halo and others. I just wish it didn't have to come with kinect so the price would be close to the PS4, I really don't see the point. And then there's the fact it has to be connected to the internet every single hour to even play a game? Even though mines always connected, I still think it's pretty stupid.

I can take or leave bf4 to be honest unless its a big step up over 3, may get it second hand when the price comes down (assuming they make second hand buying on the ps4 similar to now on the ps3)

Some if the other games looked cool but I don't spend enough time playing games foe it to be worth getting them. Slightly annoyed that you have to pay to play online on the ps4, being free was the one thing I liked most about the ps3, but I can live with it.

SHame neither of the consoles are particularly nice looking, certainly not as nice as the previous Gen. I hope the ps4 controllers weigh more than the 3's, always hated how light they were.

Will be buying PS4 only for MGS5 really. Maybe a few PS4 only titles.

All the other games will probably be done for PC.

A bit late for E3, but still -

I need some new trousers. And a PS4.

2015... I'll be keeping an eye on this one. Shame that THQ failed and took 40K:DMO with it, but hopefully this will be an adequate replacement.

Also Ed, here's The Order, if you still haven't seen it yet.

Ive been tuned into Computex 2013 mainily (The PC gamers version of E3 in a way)
But i did stay up all night to watch all the E3 presentations.

PS4 will be featured in my front room by christmas that is certain.

The Division Looks like it will be the game I'll be looking forward to most.

Ive pre-ordered watch dogs already for PC, I do also hope for Splinter cell and Elder scrolls online (all for PC, not for PS4)

Battlefield 4 I was skeptial at first with. But after seeing it at E3 I have to say it looks damn right beautiful. It looks that the maps will be larger all on all 3 axis too which is better. Adding good verticle gunplay in built up areas is what I enjoyed with BF3. Just hope they focous more on choppers and ground vehicles than jets. Jet play was a spoiler too fast for the game really, for flight combat games the limit is at WW2 era games or with attack choppers.

Although I did have to laugh at people thinking they will get 4k resolution in Gaming. Media playback, sure. But PS4 nor Xbone will be able to render gameplay up to 4k res, they dont have the power.

Edit:

I forgot to add, Microsoft xbone wasn't the biggest disappointment in E3. The fact they announced another Halo game. I can hear master chief crying out from a distance saying "kill me now, Make it painless"

An act of desperation after their stocks dropped belowe acceptable level. They didnt do it for this fan base, they done it for their wallets. The fan base just happened to get what they wanted.

Having a discussion on this on facebook at the moment, most of the new games that will come out in the next few years will all be from unpublished indy studios. and because of Microsofts stance, they wont allow unpublished studios to release games on their platforms. so, basically I'll be surprised if the xbone survives the next generation of gaming.
