  1. I have just given this a go, and it took a bit of fighting, but I managed to scrape off the rough edge at least. Might see if I can find some fine sandpaper to remove the rest. It seems that the bulge on the sides here is intentional; all pairs I have found images of have this. I think it's to seal around the dip in the face where the eye socket is, but my pair had a rough edge there I was just curious if this was intentional, and it seems like it is. They feel more comfortable after giving them a trim. Now to cut s hole somewhere for ExFog to go lol
  2. Good Afternoon Legends! I have recently bought myself some Revision Spider Wolf goggles from ebay. I wear glasses and have obtained the Rx inserts for them. Anyway, I have an odd issue with them, and I wanted to know if all pairs are like this or if I was unlucky with the ones I got from eBay. They are the perfect size and fit well in all but 2 areas. My temples. See, this is where the issues lie, it looks like the rubber seal is bulging outwards. I am not sure how well the picture shows it, but they seem to bulge towards my face, leaving indents in my skin. To start with, I figured it out because they are likely unused or new, and the rubber needs to wear in a bit. Is this normal for these goggles, or have I been super unlucky and bought a dud? I can get another pair as i will be butchering these somewhen to try fit Exfog, but would be nice to know if theres a chance my next pair will be the same? Thanks! Punisher
  3. Looks like a good set up chap, load your PC up with all the stuff you'd take out into a game before you adjust it so it'll sit right and be comfortable. The belt and harness combo I use is Viper, adjusts out to a 52 waist and down to 30/32, it's comfortable and the harness offers lots of adjustability, would sit under your PC well. You could also use a pair of normal suspenders if you wanted something slimmer/smoother under your PC. I have 2 different belts and swap the harness over depending on if I want to run my VSR/L96 or MP5. One is laser cut molle and the other is molle loops and I can't say I notice any difference in them aside from how they look TBH. I used mesh cause I'm a sweaty bastard and fog up goggles within minutes of being on the field, I don't think any normal anti fog unit could keep up unless it was running big fans. A helmet will only make the fogging worse for you but will give you a more comfortable place to mount an exfog unit. I've never liked external knee pads as I could never get them to sit comfortably and be on the right position so didn't bother with them till I got trousers with inserts, they will help with the baggyness you suffer if you can deal with external ones though. You could always run a dropleg holster if a belt platform wouldn't work for you.
  4. Heres mine so far, I have just got the PC so its not adjusted properly and is sitting a bit high and I am still wating for a belt to holster my pistol + mags etc. Still undecided on if i want to go helmet or not. Going by my test today I am 100% going to need Exfog. I am also in the "wears Glasses" group too haha I was just worried them being baggy was odd but perhaps them are meant to be like this the top isnt too bad but i feel the trouser may impede my movement a bit perhaps knee pads is a good idea like you guys have mentioned
  5. My son has been using ExFog for over a year now and is very happy apart from that, he hasn’t found a good solution for mounting the tubes to his googles yet (but then he isn’t trying very hard either). I’ve recently received the Novrtisch Antifog Unit 2nd Gen and can now actually compare the two. First of all they both will do the job just fine, it is more about the features and the attachments they come with. Usability: The ExFog uses one button to toggle between different modes, low, medium, max, off while the Antifog has an analogue potentiometer aka knob and a ‘max’ button which goes to full power for 30 seconds to defog the glasses and then goes back to the current mode. IMHO the Antifog wins the usability. Having to toggle through the different modes is a bit annoying, having an analogue knob is more convenient. Tubing: The Antifog comes with green tubes so that is nice but they are a bit on the soft side and it is easy to get kinks. On the other side because the tubing is softer movements don’t tend to pull the tubings out of the glasses but just kink them. I guess that is a benefit. The ‘T’ attachment that comes with the Antifog has IMHO a more solid connection (it doesn’t disconnect as easily) as the magnetic adapter you now get with the new ExFogs but the ExFog connectors are more versatile. ExFog wins the attachments unless you have a google where you can actually use the T connector. Then the Novritsch adaptor is superior. Overall I would say ExFog wins the tubing one but time will tell. I haven’t been able to play with my Antifog yet thanks to a dodgy foot. The flexible tubing might not be an issue at all. Attachments: The Antifog only comes with some Velcro stickers, that’s it. I bought the Novritsch bonie with it which has Velcro on the back so that is not a problem and most helmets have Velcro patches on the back but if I play with my Barrett then I have a problem. Luckily I have all the attachments from my son’s ExFog. That comes with all the Velcro stickers and a head band so that you can wear the unit without anything. That head band just has a Velcro patch on so it works with the Antifog as well. The winner here is clearly the ExFog. Summary So even though the ExFog wins two out of the 3 categories here I would choose the Antifog on the field just because of the usability issue. The one complaint my son has with his ExFog is that his tubes come undone from his goggles. He routes them inside his helmet and they come straight down and he pushes them through holes on the top of his goggles. The tubes are quite stiff to avoid kinks but it also means that any shear force is likely to pull them out while some softer tubes might just kink for a bit and then relax again. Is anyone playing with Novritsch Antifog and can give their feedback on how the tubes behave?
  6. Well I bite the bullet and bought one. It cost me the grand sum of £9.06 and honestly it's worth the money at under £10 maybe worth up to £15-20 but beyond this price I would rather spend double and buy the exfog. I haven't got to test it in the field and it's far from perfect but as a gateway into active de fogging tech is great. It's got a good amount of air output in volume and pressure at mid to high settings. Anything less than half way and the cheap fan makes a terrible racket which I assume is due to it not being designed to run that slow. (It should be a standard easy to replace 50mm fan so this can be resolved if you do run it very slow often) The plastic casing is cheap and I honestly doubt it's ability to stand up to point blank 1j shots reliably over long term. A protective patch or pouch seems wise.
  7. Ive recently purchased a pair of empire EVS with the intention of running an Exfog unit as seemingly no amount of anti-fog, glasses, goggles etc prevents my humid self from constantly fogging up. However, with moving to a paintball style mask, being able to cheek weld weapons is more of an issue. I dont seem to have a problem with my Tac-41 since its got a really low stock. But I think with my M4 its going to require at least a 2 inch riser to make any optics viable, since I cant seem to find a drop stock for the specna arms prime line... Which RIFs OOTB, do you guys think would work with the empire EVS and optics? The AK platform looks like its angled stock might work but wondering if you guys have any more ideas for those who run the mask or similar paintball masks? Pic of the new mask
  8. I've found a pair of goggles that I REALLY like, however they will definitely fog up. The Novritsch Antifog unit requires you to cut a section out the top of the goggles. How does the ExFog attach?
  9. Did a search of the site to see if any news on the pre-order delivery and was surprised these had not been posted. https://trittech-us.com/ Looking at the youtube channel ballistic testing seems good and the antifog look amazing. From someone that can fog a DYE mask I use an ExFOG like system but its just a PITA with the tubes so most of the time I wear my heroshark mesh but I have astigmatism and in low light suffer. Fingers crossed they turn out as advertised.
  10. My Nov unit with my new '100% real' aliexpress M32s is pretty audible but not to the point where I can't hear anything else. Would have to directly compare to an ExFog unit to know for sure, though - and it's not like I've got the best setup regardless (it's on a exfog headband, and it was the first time running earpro ever so my setup was all over the place) No idea about the aliexpress fog units however, but considering the price of them it might end up being a valid choice if you're not running sound amplification/reduction, exactly like you said.
  11. PVS31 Battery Retention System holds an Exfog with room to spare. Will work with the helmet cover or without, can even set it up without the use of Velcro. Replica https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006574447558.html? real deal https://www.tactical-kit.co.uk/ferro-concepts-pvs31-battery-retention-system-35500-p.asp Can also just Velcro the fog unit to the back and use some bungee attached to the helmet rails to hold it in place.
  12. Revision Anti-fog cloths + exfog. Never had fogging since when using my ESS Profile NVG goggles, however, condensation sometimes is an issue but very rare. If the goggles/eye pro you're using has foam around the sides, pull it off. It helps massively with air flow.
  13. Hopefully from a certain Heroic Elasmobranch Cartilaginous Fish gentleman? (I sent him a pair of my Guard Dog Evader 2's to put his mesh in, with a multi-cam paint job, and I use them all the time as a DMR / Sniper. However, I have eye glasses under them and somehow these still steam up a little so I still run an ExFog on my boonie)
  14. Being a fat, sweaty lad I have had great success with a pair of bollie raider and an exfog unit. It's light enough it attached to the head band and you can barely hear it.
  15. My airsoft headgear journey has followed the Michael Fassbender "Perfection" meme, three different things until perfection was achieved. I prefer real head protection: Started with a Viper Tactical baseball cap, occasionally using a Jack Pike camo one, and both suffered with the same problems... too thin / fell off too easily / peak would catch on things / BB's magically find any gaps. I said real head protection: Then a good FMA ballistic helmet, a very large one that fitted my melon head. I was very happy, I could mount an ExFog, but then being sneaky came along and it didn't fit the bill (but has been passed to my son who happy with it). Perfection: Then onto a boonie for trying to pretend to be a bush or a clump of bracken (with added mesh etc. and my ExFog). But, ignoring the camo side of things, I found that it was "perfection" in that... it's light on my head / sits well with my Delta Mike / the fabric has some "give" rather than a restrictive helmet / it's so easy to store in my kit bag / it has a wire brim so I can mold it to by head (no BB gaps) / the material is thick enough to protect me but I will notice hits. I love my "UF PRO Striker Gen.2 Boonie" and need to buy another to craft ready for winter.
  16. I can still fog Revision's Desert locusts with the thermal lens and their anti-fog wipes, not so voodoo magic. It's all down to humidity and body heat, these things are all designed for environments with less than 50% average relative humidity, UK averages at around 50 - 60% in the summer and 80-90% during spring and winter. ExFog works well, its less expensive than the Novbitch one, and you can either fuck about with the magnetic end bits or just point the tubes in roughly the right direction - just don't forget to charge it the night before, because they don't hold juice very well (this applies to both ExFog and Novbitch ones).
  17. Alternative to the Novritsch system is ExFog (you can get it from PatrolBase). My son uses it and you can hardly hear it. I am thinking of getting one myself and then design and 3d print a bracket for my Wiley-X which holds the tubes in place. I had bad problems with fogging at first as I was wearing googles over my normal glasses. Changing to contact lenses helped a bit. So did adding some additional ventilation holes from the top on my googles. The Wiley-X are ok as well as long as I don’t have the glasses touch my forehead. If I use the strap instead of the normal arms the lenses are the most secure but are fogging up like mad. It is for this setup that I am considering the ExFog. It is basically a balance act between no fogging and best eye protection. Ideally you would want both. I personally would not use mesh masks. I’ve got a little shooting range setup in my loft and I have lots of brocken BB fragments lying around. The danger comes when you get shot from close range as that’s when BBs tend to shatter.
  18. Easiest and cheapest option: Revision Anti-Fog wipes. They're witchcraft. Breathe on your goggles to steam them up and wipe with the cloth a few times. They take some effort to steam up after that. Using a Delta Mike snood appears to help me because it doesn't trap heat like other face protection. Finally, I use an Exfog unit secured to the back of my helmet with the tubes ran on the inside of the lid, into the goggles. Novritsch has his own type of Exfog unit if you can't find one in stock. I get condensation on the inside of the goggles but rarely do I get actual fogging.
  19. Noise is the biggest turn off for me - I may take a punt on payday. For reference; my Exfog is in a pouch, velcro'd to my helmet, and my hearing protection picks up a noticeable constant vibration/low humming noise from the fan running. I can't imagine running anything that's much louder than what I use now. For those not using active hearing protection, could be worth a chance.
  20. Good to hear that the kinky tubes don't really cause a problem. In that case they might actually be a 'positive' over the more rigid tubes from ExFog. I saw the trick with the spring on a YouTube video (https://youtu.be/0oXgzxNgdJE?si=OvnlCnOwSRhGrDK1) Nice idea but will only try it if needed. 'Premature optimization is the root of all evil.' Donald Knuth
  21. I personally use the ExFog headbad underneath my boonie with the Novritsch unit, as I couldn't get it to sit right via velcro and it kept doing weird things. Haven't ever had a problem with the lines, even if they're very soft and kink easily they still provide plenty of air to the magnetic T-connector in the middle of the goggle. On Sunday's game just went it was the first time wearing earpro and even with them pressing down on the lines I didn't fog at all, but if you're worried about line kinking being a problem you can always measure the inside of the rubber tube and get hollow spring tube that's just smaller to route inside to stop it from bending as easy while still being flexible enough in a pinch.
  22. Probably not the first nor the last topic about this, but here goes. Yesterday I had to run back quite a few times to the safe zone because of sweat/fog on my goggles, so I need some advice in how to combat this. I'm also not sure whether it was sweat dripping into my goggles or fog. So, here's what I run: A helmet, Bolle X800 goggles and a mesh mask that attaches to my helmet. This is what it looks like: Now, as for the conditions I was playing in: I was playing at an indoor/outdoor field: mostly indoor, but it's an old factory that doesn't really have any doors, windows are either completely open or smashed in. So, if it's foggy outside, it's gonna be foggy inside. If it's freezing cold outside, it's gonna be freezing cold inside as well. You get the point ?. As for yesterday, temperature was at around 10 degrees Celsius, with quite a lot of moisture in the air: breading sometimes formed a breath cloud. What I'm not sure about: was it fog that I was combating or was it sweat? It seemed more like sweat was dripping into my goggles, as they just became wet instead of foggy. Does this make any sense? I also noticed the inside padding of my helmet was very wet, so it probably couldn't adsorb any more sweat. I've heard a lot of good things about exfog, but I'm not sure if it's the right solution to me, as I might be combating sweat instead of fog? So a simple sweatband might be a better solution? Any advice from the more experienced players here, should I go with a sweatband or with an exfog? Or are there any other solutions you guys recommend? Thanks!
  23. Hello all As a prescription glasses wearer, I’ve been to foggy goggle hell plenty of times. Whilst browsing in patrol base today I spotted this.. https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/exfog-antifog-system-t-band it looks a bit naff, and I’m not sure how comfortable it would be having the pipes sticking into the sides of the goggles, but if it works I would buy it. Anyone have the system or have any experience of it?
  24. Hi all, As above, the unit itself is in mint condition along with accessories however the box is a bit tatty. Your thoughts gentlemen?
  25. I am surprised. I just remember one video where they shot BBs at the ExFog and the Novritsch one and the Novritsch one broke. They must have improved on that.
