  1. VERY tempted, will have to run it past the mrs and check with work and my Airsoft pals but I would be very much up for this..
  2. Cool, sound advice. will/wont do Thought it was worth asking you guys first as my friends within Airsoft circles are quite small.
  3. Noted.... Only want to change parts that will address a known problem or greatly increase range/effectiveness etc.. I have used one of these guns and love it, so pretty sure I will keep it and be happy with it, kind of know the attachments I want so sorted on that, just wondered if it WAS worth tinkering with the insides or any know parts. Still getting to grips with stuff so all this help is appreciated.
  4. Hey again... I have just ordered a Combat Raider (finally) and am wondering: A) If anyone recommends swapping any factory parts straight away for slightly better power/accuracy or general well being of the machine. and What sort of battery should I get? I see there are a few options and haver read arguments for both but am still undecided, what would you go for? Cheers guys!!
  5. Hey.. Will be a Mall regular soon, hoping to get there once a month or so from october.. might see you around!
  6. Yeah this... They will either be really interested and ask more questions or shrug it off without having to explain yourself in too much detail.
  7. Better spring and motor, could you elaborate a bit more please. I want to upgrade mine but dont know where to start. Thanks...
  8. Not the best person to answer as I have never been there But as being a noob, dont worry. Most paces are fine and welcoming. Just get talking to others and tag along with other groups and before you know it your involved and feel like part of the scene.
  9. Haha this, exactly this... Might be a problem, I work a lot of evenings and live in London so with timings and travel it might not work out for me.. Will look into it though thanks..
  10. Yeah totally get that, people will always stick to their little groups its human nature. I think sites could do something to help this out in a way though, maybe assigning a marshal or regular or even a random player as leader or split the teams into squads and give some tactical advice. As a noob to the site after being hit and heading back to the spawn (quite a few times I couldnt even find the spawn, so after wandering around, waited a few mins and headed back to the action, this only happened once or twice) I had to tag onto other groups. I was happy to follow their lead and once or twice found myself "squad leader" with a few rentals who obviously were new and led them into some action and joined up with the larger team. I dont know, it might work, it might be a silly idea. I just felt that we had 2 squads actually looking to complete objectives, everyone else was happy giving cover or just playing team deathmatch. And was quite frustrating with no order, in protect the VIP for example hardly anyone knew where our VIP was, so protecting him was pretty impossible.
  11. Would be nice to meet up with some regulars and make new Airsoft fwiends.... As I only go with my Bro and his mate (we have another guy but he is out with a broken leg for 4 months still) The 1 thing I do like about Airsoft is the tactical way you have to play and that works much better when people work together and get on. It wasnt until the very last game yesterday until I found people were more confident giving and responding to orders from a complete stranger. The first few were little groups against little groups with no teamwork outside of those groups
  12. Was good, I imagined it to be more retail spaces and a bit bigger, but the venue and site were great. After only playing at the Bunker 51 before it was huge in comparison, but lack of our team pushing forward meant we tended to stay in our half and not getting too far from our spawn. Briefings were overly long but essential (hate em or love em they gotta be done, just wish the experienced players would be quiet so the marshalls did not have to keep stopping, we have all heard it before but be quiet and lets get it done quickly) All in all a great day of airsofting though. Had great fun and cant wait to get back there... Just wish the teams would play more coherently instead of 10 smaller groups sticking together, but again friends will do this and thats Airsoft....
  13. Was at the Mall today, and attend Bunker regularly, also from London so no doubt will get shot by you soon
  14. Was my first time there today, were any of you other fine fellows in attendance?
  15. Went today for the first time. Only ever playing the Bunker at Greenwich before I loved the size and feel of the Mall. The site itself as a venue is brilliant. A few issues with people not calling hits, I had one myself but the Marshalls were keen to help and claimed they spoke to people and were watching people (whos to say they did/have though) The games were good but the objectives games all seemed to turn into team deathmatch whilst 3 or 4 people went off on their own with no communication to the rest of the team to grab objectives on their own. Briefing before every game was loooooooong and the morning briefing was overly long too.But I can see the need for it as people will ignore the rules anyway and there were lots of noobs too. Overall a great day, and I cant wait to book it again.
  16. Totally understand, as a Newb I am finding out about brands as I go along.... I have spent about 120 on kit which I now plan to upgrade and sell on/donate... I dont mind this too much though as I am still learning and havent took the biggest plunge and bought a gun I am not happy with or full tactical kit etc and am enjoying learning and am getting there!
  17. Yup.... Borrowed a combat machine and found it nice to use. Prefer slightly heavier weapons but could easily get on with one. Will buy one ASAP and start the pimpage!!!
  18. Naahh Im just a sucker for the shape and look of an M4... Borrowing one for a skirmish on Sunday so will make my mind up next week either way finally
  19. Perfect.... Thanks a lot. I do like the look of scopes and sights so doubt I will be sticking with the irons, but the break down really helps. I use a red dot sight on my MP5K and find it much more useful than the iron sights and looks fricken awesome too
  20. So I am looking into the different versions of sights for the M4 I am about to buy and am getting overwhelmed. My local store only stocks very expensive ones and seems to be quite pricey in general so want some advice from users rather than someone looking to make a sale In the gun picture thread I see a variety of scopes eotechs and what look like magnifiers too, as well as other stuff I am not sure of. I am not sure on the benefits/costs/uses of each..... I want an all rounder M4 with decent sights for CQC and woodland skirmishes. I dont mind having different sights for the different variants as changing for the venue is not a pain but would prefer a set up which gave me a good balance for both. What are the differences and what type of sight and makes would you recommend??
  21. The MP5K front end with RIS £55 A Wolfeye LED torch £50 Magpul RIS Handguard £22 RIS Sling Clip £8 Green / Black Shemagh (SP?) to use as a face covering as I dont like my mask anymore £10 BUT As the front end attachment doesnt quite fit I am taking the it and the handguard back, and my £8 super bright LED torch I use for work does fit the attachment I got earlier in the week do the wolfseye is going back too. Thats £120 towards a Combat Raider
  22. For future reference, and the fact its late and im bored and want to type, IT DOESNT WORK.... It would fit lovely, and look great, however the attachment has a tapering inside and is probably about 2mm to small. I could grind it off with a dremel quite easily but for 55 quid id rather take it back and spend the money towards a Combat Raider. Im really happy with how it looks now I have a torch adaptor anyway, so the attachment and grip I had to buy will save me 80 quid, half the price of my new rifle so all good
  23. would be an online sale as they are nowhere near me
