  1. I know a couple of folks here are interested in the boring legislation so I thought I'll post it here too Tier 1: https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2020/1103/made Tier 2: https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2020/1104/made Tier 3: https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2020/1105/made Basically, a 50 to 100 words saying that we can't do anything, then going back on itself and saying that we can, for all three tiers.
  2. When I wrote that notice, I had wrote it with the idea of a group having only six people within it. A game of 3 versus 3 (or 1 versus 5), shall we say. As with my earlier post in this thread, I agree with you that there is "fat chance" of two individual groups, bubbles or whatever not mixing yet playing the same game and adhering to the regulations in place, but I know that there are a couple of sites that are planning on using HSE/the Government's interpretation of mixing/mingling and treating it to a night it'll never forget.
  3. I'm in agreement with you. A gathering is a collection of people meeting for a single purpose - in our case, to shoot each other. One gathering shooting at a separate gathering is a bit of a stretch and sounds almost like playing a game with a village sniper Hey, people call me a Facebook expert! 😭
  4. There have been some rather animated discussions on Facebook last night about how this effects airsoft Some of the points raised were interesting - about how this doesn't affect that much indoor skirmishes because as long as those people who are inside their group of six don't come into contact with other people within their group of six (by keeping more than say, 2 metres apart at all times) and I can see their point if the venue is able support this sort of thing, by means of say, a dedicated one way system for leaving after calling your hit, versus spawning But I don't know any venue that would be able to support this and be able to sustain gameplay. 😐
  5. https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2020/1029/pdfs/uksi_20201029_en.pdf for those like me with no life
  6. It's the 24th already, and the revised secondary legislation isn't published. How can anyone make any justified decisions if we're not aware of what the law actually is? Edit: spoke prematurely! just got released in the last few minutes 🙃
  7. The Gaol have expanded over the past couple of years so that there's a large outdoor area that can be used.
  8. We'd have sports recognition already if it wasn't for the industry not wanting to team up and sit on their laurels for two years.
  9. That is indeed the correct schedule, well, for England anyway. The point what I'm getting at is that as far as I know, only a declaration (well, two, in fact) required for these paragraphs to have any effect has been made by Scotland (which is the next stanza, each nation has their own stanza) If of course anyone finds such a declaration for England, Wales or Northern Ireland I'll be most grateful!
  10. Ah, well you're looking at the right piece of legislation - but which section is it which deals with events? I'm not trying to lead you down the garden path or anything!
  11. Is there? Could you point them out for me please?
  12. What really doesn't help is the Government saying one thing is prohibited, and the only home nation that appears to have done anything to even begin the process of implementing legislation that affects events, appears to be Scotland.
  13. I'm also of the same opinion, especially as s.57A Firearms Act specifically excludes Airsoft replicas that are within the 1.3J/2.5J power limits from the definition of "firearm" I wouldn't want to discount any additional orders that may have been placed on an individual prohibiting the possession of imitations however! Then again I don't necessarily place too much trust in the legislative process, the intention of parliament and what is written on vellum can and do differ, sometimes significantly.
