  1. I had to explain airsoft at work on Friday to a guy who questioned why I had a shemagh in my rucksack. I went with " It's like paintball but not sh*t". That seemed to get the point across.
  2. I wasn't expecting a FAL when I clicked the link....... Honestly? Why not. Most folk will say combat machine and they're right, they're a cracking first gun but don't get an M4 if you don't want an M4. JG do make some decent rifles although I'm not overly clued up on that model although I know there are plenty on here who will be. EBB might not be the ideal choice for a first timer though so maybe look for a straight AEG version. That blue isnt even that offensive.......
  3. What tickles me is how much the majority of airsofters dislike walts and try to replicate military uniforms in the most respectful way- without wearing badges they don't have the right to or by wearing berets with pins on and a bunch of tits on some forum call us all walting pen pushers. Nowt like sweeping generalizations is there?
  4. A KWC spring M9 which I got around 1998. Still have it. Considered upgrading the spring and using it for humiliation kills.
  5. I'm going to agree with everybody else and say a combat machine is going to be your best bet as a beginner but there's nothing wrong with being patient, sorting your defence and getting exactly what YOU want. I will play devils aardvark here though- you CAN get a primary for under 80 quid but you're looking at a tri shot and they're only really viable if you exclusively play CQB like me so you need to know where you're playing from the start if you're going down this route. My tri shot and 12 shells came to about 70 quid brand new and it's really satisfying to skirmish with. Pick up a second hand side arm with a couple of mags for 70-80 quid or a nbb HFC MK23 for around 50 and you're laughing.
  6. Any of the 30 round shells will do. I've got DE ones and they can be hit or miss and some were knackered by the end of their first game so go TM if you can as they're the best in terms of quality.
  7. Or perhaps even Belgian seeing as The Dutch come from Holland ;-)
  8. What I like about this forum is the mods actually get stuck in and share info instead of just turning up to waive the ban hammer and tell folk what they've done wrong. I've been on many a forum for a few different things and this is the only one where a mod (Ian) has PMd me with eBay links to stuff I was looking for. I mean, can you imagine that happening on Z1?
  9. Was it on here or Zerointelligence where somebody posted pics of them at a game in a full frogman outfit? Nothing wrong with going different aslong as its comfy and practical for you. Look on the Replica Prop Forum for foam Robocop costume templates, mod a full auto pistol and of you go :-D
  10. My primary is a DE tri shot, I swear by the thing- it's great fun but not the quietest thing in the world. I've also got a DE M56 which is stupidly accurate but has that trademark loud twang sound associated with springers. Any reason why you want something quiet? Part of the fun of shottys is running about being loud and a nuisance or maybe that just me?
  11. Where's Mack and his meme...............
  12. I've signed up on Arnies and posted in that thread to get some oppinions there aswell. I know sod all about ITAR, does it clearly define furniture as not being covered or is it a grey area?
  13. That's really helpful CK, I'll give it a look. Cheers
  14. I've found them on the US Amazon for 30 dollars . http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00GP3IFBC/ref=pd_aw_sims_7?pi=SL500_SS115 It's a minefield and I don't know if they'd be willing to put "it's for airsoft use only, honest" on the parcel haha
  15. While we're on the subject of shotguns I'm really fancying one of those mossberg chainsaw grips for one of mine (which could make it end up in this thread.......) but are there any import issues on real steal firearms accessories?
  16. I think there was a fixed stock version a page or so back, can't remember who posted it. I don't mind an optic on a shotty for CQB as they do help but generally I'm just there for room clearance and for getting a good spread down a corridor in a surpressing role while folk move up so I normally don't need one. It's no secret that I'd love an under lever
  17. Sorry everybody but I love this. Real steel Mossberg ZMB
  18. Found it. You can never have too many Chinese ebay sellers bookmarked
  19. First off I love that second picture you posted, there's some real character showing through it. I wouldn't mind knowing who took it/ where it was taken.I love the gear they're wearing aswell, it looks military without being over the top and looks practical but doesn't instantly scream freedom fighter to me. I'm really in to these type of loadouts and they don't have to be specifically Ukraine- look for pictures from Bosnia, Serbia, Somalia etc and you'll find shots of people using different weapons and whatever camo they can get their hands on or just using the clothes on their back.In airsoft it's a really thin line to walk between looking like a rebel and looking like somebody who's turned up to their first skirmish in jeans, a hoody and a rental AK so you just need to throw in a few finishing touches to make sure you look the part. I'm looking at 58 pattern webbing for something similar I'm throwing together as it's something you can pick up cheaply and easily, it's practical and multi-functional which is what this type of setup should be about.
  20. This. If you can check the AK is working once you've tried it with a battery and you'd be happy posting I'd be happy to make an offer on it. Edit: In case you're still not sure, this one is the AK.
  21. Best pistol? At the moment, for me, it'd be one that bloody works properly........
  22. I use a pair of Karimoor walking shoes. They have a trainer feel to them but the grip of walking boots so perfect for most indoor CQB. I've got some actual walking boots for winter as slipping on ice isn't ha hilarious as it looks. I always play in jeans, got some from primark for a tenner that are stretchy so they're easier to run in. If you're rubbing an AK go for either a terrorist or PMC look as most of it you can wear with both looks- jeans, walking boots, green chest rig, shemagh, good gloves, good eye pro. You can then just change your top and headwear to suit- longsleeve black t shirt or fleece and a baseball cap for PMC and a tshirt, kameeze and pakol for insurgent. 2 loadout a for next to nothing .
  23. I've been getting slowly won over by the FN2000. At first I thought it was god awful looking but I love it now. The fact you can use M4 mags makes life seriously easy and the VN mags make it look badass. That's a rather nice looking gun you've got there . Do they make mag changes more fidly? Did JG make a version of this? I can only find the G&G but at £300 it's a bit on the dear side. Eotech, magnifier, surpresser and I'd be happy .
