  1. I read the description and it said leather strap sold separately. Sods, especially considering the word "leather" was even in the item description! I missed it anyway . I've spotted another on ebay so I'll be keeping tabs on that for the next couple of days .
  2. Just got in and logged on here with an hour to go on that listing, fingers crossed! Edit: Bloody hell, the leather strap isn't included! Gits!
  3. Well I live in Sheffield but nearest to Rotherham so I can give you an idea on those two but I know sod all about Barnsley so maybe someone else can shed some light there. There's one shop in Rotherham and in fairness that's more than enough. The town centre is dead too so I'd avoid as a retail spot if I were you. There are no skirmish sites that I know of though. Personally I couldn't give a monkeys about woodland and there are a few places nearby offering that so a CQB site in Rotherham with a good location and facilities would have a shot at getting my money. Sheffield has Ops 7 which has a good established rep however they're well out of the city centre so there's a potential market if you looked at closer to town (division street or Devonshire street for instance) however if you're a newcomer you might have a job convincing folk away from ops 7. As for sites there's a couple of woodland ones that I know of and the stan which you'd be hard pressed to beat if you're wanting to do a cqb site if its still as good as it was 12 months ago. Hope that helps
  4. That's a bloody great idea. They're cheap as chips and they've got the exact look I'm after, plus- Indy! Cheers chaps . I've got some cargo trousers, I'll see if I can snag a gas mask bag and try both combinations of trousers. I always skirmish in jeans as I find them really comfortable and seeing as the sites I play at are indoors getting them wet isn't normally a concern. I also reckon if the zombies did arrive chances are I wouldn't be stopping to change out of my jeans lol. If it makes the whole ensemble look better though I'm open to change .
  5. Yeah, I like that about the one you posted. That pic I put up I found on google, a traditional claymore bag without the side pockets goes for anything from a tenner upwards. I like this in green but the Mrs reckons it looks like a purse. Still not as accesible for mags as the one you posted but quicker than a claymore bag or satchel because of the side and strap pockets.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Molle-Tactical-Bag-Shoulder-Strap-Bag-Pouch-Travel-Backpack-Camera-Military-Bag-/181296309745?pt=UK_SportingGoods_BackpacksRucksacks_Bags_EH&var=&hash=item2a361a25f1
  6. It's not that Denzel Washington one is it? I like that, plus it looks less like a purse than some. I'd even thought claymore bag like this one
  7. Funny you should post that, there's one going in the classifieds which had caught my eye. I reckon that might work.....
  8. I never classed it as a "loadout" but short of a "post pictures of clothes you skirmish in" thread I suppose it'll have to go in here. If you'd read my post before commenting you'll see that I'm trying to achieve that post apocalyptic look Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead has. It doesn't need pouches and camo and chest rigs. It needs to be cut back and functional but as I said, it needs "something", I don't know what. The stuff I wear with my other gear (or "loadout" if you will) looks too military, the drop leg and boots go with it but even a shemagh looks wrong, let alone a chest rig. I'm looking at ordering some shotgun shell pouches to mount on a belt with suspenders as I reckon that won't look too out of place, I just can't go down the standard multicam and tan route- this needs to look like it's been lived in for 3 months whilst avoiding being eaten.......
  9. That's what I was thinking when I was taking the photos . It's actually a DE single shot I bought for 15 quid off the forum and then painted wood effect. It's a bloody good little gun for the price- I only bought it for the look and thought when it came to skirmishing it'd play second fiddle to my pistol but it's got cracking range and accuracy, especially with heavier ammo. I'd like an Ithaca to go in my shotty collection but the tube magazine puts me off.
  10. I think shooting on sight is a more suitable punishment.
  11. This is something lightweight I've thrown together for CQB but primarily for zombie games. It's lacking the eye pro and my half face mesh mask because it looks cooler this way . I think it might be missing something if anybody has any ideas? I put my knee pads on and it didn't look right and a shemagh didn't look apocalyptic enough. I could do with some pouches to mount on my belt for my mags and cowboy boots and a machete would make it but would reduce skirmishability somewhat. Also, if I didn't like the shirt so much I'd cover the thing in blood and mud. Token shot for photoshop hilairity
  12. I use it a lot, it's a bloody good resource. I was watching Falling Down again the other day and there were a couple of bits use that I wasn't sure what they were and sure enough, they're listed on IMFDB. Win!
  13. Who says airsofter can't look FABULOUS. My half face mesh mask came today. Not the most exciting purchase but better than having to pick my teeth off Tac House's floor............
  14. Can anybody who's good with gas guns have a nosey at this please? Could do with some help fixing my capa. http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/20491-hi-capa-firing-on-full-auto/

  15. I like the look of it apart from the acog. I do like M14s with that dmr/ sniper look, I just think the middle gun in this picture looks way nicer- the stock is a nicer colour, the rail is less ridiculous, the scope looks more fitting although I would want the silencer on it. I think that would be my dream gun if I was playing sites that were a bit more.... open.
  16. I'll just chip in to say if you're getting an AEG, you don't need a pistol, there are more important things worth picking up. They're useful if you play CQB and I find I use mine a lot (when it works) as it's faster to switch to it than reload my shotty.
  17. See from that picture it doesn't look to be that huge a pistol, unless you've got ridiculously huge hands. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on one as I was fancying one of the HFC versions as a bit of a fun alternative to my shottys as a CQB primary and for when my hi capa decides it really doesn't want to behave (which is depressingly happening more and more frequently ). I wouldnt want to buy on to find that it's unweildly though so I may have to find a stockist and try one for size. What's the weight like on the HFC?
  18. Finally got round to watching Lone Survivor last night. Jesus Christ, what a film.

  19. I can't decide whether I hate this Gundam inspired M4 or I love it. I'm leaning towards the latter I think. I'm not sure how practical a full Gundam loadout would be for CQB though.............
  20. I did yeah. I plastered it on pretty thick with a wide, soft bristled brush and then scraped it off towards the back of the stock whilst the paint was still wet with a stiff brush to give the grain effect.
  21. So, this was my project the other night. Picked up this single shot Double Eagle shotgun to go with a Walking Dead inspired zombie apocalypse survivor loadout for zombie themed games and for CQB as a primary. I've already got a full on tactical shotty so I wanted something a bit more civillian looking or for when I finally get round to buying a DEA jacket. The whole process took about 2 hours. I started off with Halfords camouflage matt black as base coat. Once that had dried I painted on a thick coat of reddish brown (I can find the exact name if anybody is bothered) and while the paint was wet took a brush with really stiff bristles that I found in a cupboard and basically scraped the paint from one side to the other so the black showed through and gave a grain effect. Once the brown had dried I did the same with burnt umber acrylic paint and scraped it off so the other colours showed through and then the same proces with black. I took a cloth to it in places and rubbed the paint off, scratched the stock and tried to get an element of texture around the parts that would get the most wear. I don't actually think it's weathered enough so I'm going to take a chisel and some sandpaper to it and the weekend. I'm tempted to darken up the top and bottom of the stock to simulate wear. Let me know what you think, I'm pretty chuffed with it and it looks fairly convincing in the flesh. Appologies for crap iphone pics and for the wife's choice of tablecloth...........
