  1. Really annoying when dealers state items in stock, you order and pay, then wait, only to be told they actually have to be obtained from a wholesaler or some other excuse. ?
  2. Yes quite possibly, not a great testament though, 5 reviews, 4 saying how bad they are. Anyway I have a temporary refund and if they don’t answer PayPal by March 3rd the case will be closed in my favour.
  3. I have only ordered one item. PayPal have not had a reply from him, them, however many people work at boomarms. If it’s just a typo on the tracking number where is the item, it was posted 11 days ago. Just looked at Boomarms reviews on Trustpilot, 4 out of the 5 are poor, and recent. Wrong items sent, poor communication leading to emails being ignored.
  4. Time will tell, they haven’t replied to PayPal as yet.
  5. I only have a temporary refund, if Boomarms reply to PayPal and can explain what’s happened the sale will go ahead. Think it’s fair of me to involve PayPal as I have emailed them 3 times without any reply, and RM said the parcel with that tracking number is not in the system so can’t have been sent as yet. They have until March 3rd to reply so think that’s more than fair.
  6. Used them for the first time a few weeks ago. Only a small part for one of my pistols. Cheaper to buy from them even with postage than the U.K. shops. Posted out quickly, a few days later it was leaving Taiwan, and 2 more days later I had it. So ordered another small part from them 9 days ago, same as before got a tracking number 2 days later, but this one is still not recognised by RM, emailed Boomarms 3 times, no response. So unfortunately I have had to contact PayPal and they have given me a temporary refund and have contacted Boomarms for a response. Found this very strange, in the course of a few weeks what appeared to be a good company to use is behaving badly, and according to RM a tracking number was created for the parcel but it’s never actually entered the postal system. Been getting the same message from tracking with the number they gave me.
  7. It’s a closing down sale according to their website. If it’s up for sale as an ongoing business I don’t know. Perhaps you could update if you find out more when you next visit. Hopefully it will carry on as a shooting sports retailer.
  8. Noticed that McAvoy guns and A2 Supplies are shut or shutting, difficult times for retailers I suppose
  9. Wondering if anyone knows of a gifted individual who can engrave the Colt trades to a steel 1911 slide & frame.
  10. Why join then
  11. Just be on your guard, you’re always going to get scammers trying it on unfortunately.
  12. Got my pistol eventually, it was a right pain though. They don’t send out orders themselves it’s done by their logistics ?. They lost it or sent it to the wrong person. It arrived 4 days late and when I opened the box it was a demo version of the one I ordered, complete with orange tip and marked up with lots of use and abuse. The company who supplied Furby Bundy was GBLS, they promised to pick up the pistol and deliver the correct one on Monday last week. UPS picked it up but no replacement. More calls to the manager of Furby and I got the right one delivered on Tuesday. To be fair the owner of Furby called Steve was pretty good, and he gave me £50 compensation for all the agro and a can of gas. Would I use them again, not sure to be honest. Can’t really recommend them for mail order goods, probably fine if you call in the shop and purchase face to face.
  13. Not sure how they are if buying in person but there mail order is shit.
  14. Just been looking at the gas pistols, ?
  15. It’s not, but if I can stop someone from being scammed I will. I hate these scum bags.
  16. Number of adverts on here have photos stolen and are appearing on airsoft hub, and the scammers are asking for ridiculous low prices to attract victims.
  17. Think the mods on here must be very patient people, the message to include username and date is so prominent on the forum yet new & renewed adverts keep appearing without them. Not sure how long there patience will last though. ??
  18. Fubar Bundy airsoft, a new company to me. Any one dealt with them and can recommend them. Thanks
  19. I would contact boomarms and check they included your UKARA number on the declaration, they may have even photographed it before posting.
  20. I had an air pistol seized. It was common practice by many to buy airguns from Europe at the time, they were cheaper and could be delivered to your door. I was a firearms club member and had a UKARA membership. BF though, declared it a RIF. Luckily as it was weeks until I heard anything, I and the store in Portugal thought it was lost and they had refunded me. I found Border Force totally useless to deal with. I had 3 visits from the police, they kept on visiting as they weren’t recording the information I gave them. In the end complained to the Chief Constable who put a local D.I on the case and I ended up getting a letter of apology from the police and no black mark against my name. Border Force are supposed to assign a member of staff to deal with you personally, they didn’t. You only get one phone number and they pass messages to the office that seized the item apparently. I contacted my local MP and made her aware that the airgun was classed as a low powered firearm under the 1968 act, and as such could not be a RIF. I made her aware that it was perfectly legal, and my legal status. Her office made contact with BF and insisted that the manager of the seizing office contact me. He did, very, very begrudgingly, he confirmed it was a .177 air pistol but added that BF were completely entitled to class any gun as a RIF, and did not recognise my UKARA membership as a entitlement to import. The pistol was destroyed, despite my request for them to return it to the sender. As I documented the whole case on the airgun forum I had a number of people contact me for advice. BF were seizing target pistols even spring air rifles and classing them as RIF’s. For me at the time,( I don’t know if it’s now improved), Border Force were a complete law unto themselves, classing any gun they stopped as a RIF, and totally ignoring the persons right to buy through proper defences. I wish you well, keep fighting them, but if it ends up in court it can be very expensive, win or loose.
  21. Let’s not get pessimistic, no reason why they should at the moment.
  22. Forgive me if this has been mentioned in an early post. If airsoft guns are legally airguns then mail order delivery wouldn’t be possible, it would have to be RFD transfer to RFD with all the associated costs, delivery by an approved courier as some shops offer with airgun sales, or physically collecting face to face from the shop. As mail order is allowed I presume that airsoft guns aren’t legally classed as airguns.
  23. Yes, who ever thought that was a good idea. This pistol is really a collectors piece, or maybe a re-enacter, so two toning was stupid to my mind.
  24. What’s the feeling about adverts not mentioning that a gun was originally two toned, I ask as I offered on a pistol yesterday, offer accepted and then told, by the way, this was a two toned pistol, removed apart from a few specks of blue paint, and you should be able to remove them. Expensive pistol by the way £400 + In my opinion it should be in the advert. To rub salt into the wounds, the seller did the dirty on me and sold to someone else after we agreed a price he wanted. Disappointing.
  25. Hadn’t heard of it, but just tried, and tracking not found.
