    Both very good, perfectly clear optics. The gen 2 is exactly the same as my other gen 2s in term of clarity, and eye relief at 1 x is around 90mm. The gen 3 is super clear even at 10 x, and the eye relief at 1 x is just over 80mm. The gen 3 has a tight eye box (eye-reticule-target alignment), as does a genuine Vortex gen3, so ideal for sniper rifles and well setup DMRs, but it could be hard work using it on a shorter range RIF with the need for fast target engagement. Both great quality optics.
