I've never been interested in vintage cars with the possible exception of a red Triumph Stag (covetted one I saw regularly in Arboath when I was a teen), now vintage motorbikes are another thing... following a lottery win I'd be after several to start a collection... Yamaha RD350LC YPVS (was offered one when I was 17 & I said no, always regretted that day) Kawasaki AR125 Honda CBX Suzuki GSX1100S Katana etc...

Looks like it'll be in contact with your skin in several places, you'll be the best judge whether it'll cause issues on not, I still suggest a helmet with a mask/visor as suggested above.

You could argue that it's worth what someone's willing to pay for it, if the sellers asking too much then it's a waiting game until some one sees the add and decides they can't life without it.

That mask will be in contact with your skin a lot & so will the goggles. I'd look for a lightweight helmet that has a face shield or fitted mask. At the very least & recommend suitable glasses.

I felt the same about the sterling so got a prop version as it would likely be a wall hanger anyway. The main focus for my collection was British, then the L85 bug hit so now have 6 which took a 'step to the right' to other bullpups and spiralled out of control to the point I now display mine as... snipers, vintage, SMG's, bullpups, PDW's (with a pulse rifle(why not)), G3's & G36's, AR15 variants, battle rifles & AK's with bits n bobs added for fun. Got a couple of LSW's and UGL's. not a big fan of side arms but even they seem to be multiplying. Basically I collect what takes my fancy.
