Thanks to guys who helped me decide to upgrade my barrel to a 6.02mm tb barrel and hop up. I have just fitted both upgrades and the gun doesn't double feed now and groups .25gr bb's at 15 yards ish within a hand palm area and I also removed the bolt return spring so it can't break the bb's on reloading. Is the ASPUK advanced hop unit the same as the airsoft pro Czech unit? Once again thankyou very much guys Atb Andy

Ok I made my mind up, I'm going for a g&g cm rk47 purely on the grounds that all the reviews I have read give it a good write up and I know the cm series are solidly built and reliable.

I do like the steyr aug, ak's, sa80 especially the short version, galils and I would love a tommy gun!!! I also really like the g&g cm rk47 and it's supposed to have a very good reputation.

Hi all, I'm looking for an AEG that is not an m4 that may have a folding stock or is of a bullpup design, decent gearbox and preferably has magpul mags available for it. My budget at the moment is £150 so a good used package is also an option! Assault weapon style is preferable. Thanks guys! Andy

Decided to buy the hop up from ASPUK, guessing it's the same one as the Czech site and my barrel was a card through the door so I will collect it today after work.

Try a carpet tile for a backing with an old piece of thick carpet to absorb the shots and you can put this in a box. I too am in a similar position with a small garden and I agree about what a .25gr bb can do to a tin can.

Hi guys, thinking of upgrading my svd barrel to a decent tightbore barrel and what I would like to know is what is a quality brand for the reasonable price( was thinking of a mad bull black python 6.03mm) but not sure of the barrel length. My stock barrel can put shots onto a tin can at 40 yards using the open sights so is it worth buying a tb barrel? Many thanks Andy

Have you tried placing a few pieces of camera film negative under the scope in the rear scope mount? In air rifle FT shooting this is a common practice to eliminate scopes that can't zero down enough to shorter ranges, just don't over tighten the scope mount upper ring screws. Finger tight and a quarter turn is all that is needed. Just read the link on shimming, don't use card as it will compress, metal strip can corrode over time whereas camera negative does neither of the above plus it's thickness is very consistent. Yesterday I was shooting my A&K SVD at a tin can at 40+ using .25gr bb's. The FNG is correct about the cocking bolt, it needs the bolt extension!

I have to say the A&K Dragunov svd as this is very solid, upgrades with standard AEG parts and is about £150 and it will go higher than 400fps. However I will say if you aren't physically strong it may not suit you as the spring is quite beefy. And the bolt is quite small but aspuk does a very nice bolt extension. The accuracy is excellent, yesterday I was mucking about at my gun club popping a few shots at small targets like tin can sized stuff and I was hitting them out to 40 yards + and that was with the hop up not set up so more or less straight from the box. It was getting a few interested views too. However I was getting a few hiccups but nothing a decent tweaking can't sort as it is new

How about a real sword type 56 or the type 97. I'm a fan of real sword guns but a bit pricey for me , however within your budget!

The only time I would buy a GBB pistol is if it was co2 powered and preferably non blowback.... I don't like this green gas or similar based pistols after the grief I had with the kjw 1911 I had. I do like the dboys kac pdw though but it's not keeping in the russian theme, I am speaking to my supplier tomorrow so I will see what he has. Thank you anyway!

Hi all, finally managed to try my Dragunov and realised I need a compact secondary that will double up as my primary cqb weapon. I have looked at a jg skorpion and a jg mp5( skorpion seems ideal in keeping with the russian theme) but I am flexible. Don't bothered by a fast rate of fire so much, I was looking at a KA Thompson but that's not really compact but I may buy an aep as well if I did buy one. Any other suggestion guys? Atb Andy
