  2. The same line appears at the back of the upper so yes, it’s intentional 🤣
  3. 🤦‍♂️ well I feel like a twat 🤣
  4. Yeah, that’s the spot. Sorry. Too early 😂
  5. It’s on the upper receiver, the piece where the barrel lock button is. Here’s the zoomed out image
  6. Less than two weeks and what seems like a major crack has developed on my A2, hasn’t even been fielded yet. It’s been hanging on my wall since receiving it too, it’s under the handguard which I removed yesterday, so I can only assume it’s been like it since the start?

    G&G SOC16

Aww, see, I would... But I don't like wotsits, sorry mate!
  8. I had no idea these existed... Thanks, now I want one too 😂
  9. That’ll be something to keep in mind! I’ve ordered a modify M16A1 nozzle to test, as well as a ZCI hop unit/rubber combo because it was cheap and I know they work well. Hopefully one of them should solve the issue 😂

    G&G SOC16

I picked up a G&G M14 a few days ago, but didn’t like the plastic stock. My local shop is getting me in a G&G SOC16 that is coming with a real wooden stock that I’m going to switch over to my M14. I’m paying £350 for the SOC16. How much should I realistically put the SOC16 up for so I don’t end up on Mack’s 😂 it’ll be “brand new”, other than the stock being replaced with the faux wood from the M14

  12. Thank you, I’ll give that a try! I noticed the hop unit will occasionally turn left/right slightly too, I have to push it back straight via the mock bolt. I’m assuming it’s just the Specna hop unit not liking the E&C upper?
  13. Update: The spring on the hop unit was making the hop unit sit at a slightly funny angle. Removed it and the fps is up to 271 (.25g again), which seems to be the average if Gavins JG and my other m16 is any indication.
  14. Ironically, I did the exact same swap into an M16A2 build although it’s a standard 509mm inner barrel and it works flawlessly with a consistent FPS about 335 iirc. I’m going to try a different unit and bucking tomorrow and see if it fixes the issue.
  15. Just double checked, I stand corrected 😂 it was a long time ago that I got the barrel haha
  16. E&C, 590mm inner and 20" outer, no vent
  17. With the hop set to roughly the middle it’s putting out 217 average on .25g, so 0.54 joules which seems really low to me?
  18. Hey guys, building a spare m16a1 AEG. I’ve put a Specna arms edge 2.0 gearbox and hop chamber into it which was working beautifully in the mk18 before I gutted it for the gearbox. Chronoing with the hop fully off I was getting 281 (average of 20 shots) with 0.25g bb’s, hop fully on at 118 (average of 20 shots). The gearbox is all standard edge 2.0, nothing has been changed except the trigger to a normal style gate quantum trigger and an xt 105 spring. I’ve fitted a 590mm 6.03 Madbull inner barrel, the hop rubber and nub is standard Specna too. My main theory is the nozzle isn’t long enough for the long as heck inner barrel. I recall reading that nozzle lengths vary to the inner barrel but can’t find the source, is this true? I saw Lonex has an “M16A1” specific nozzle, which is what has given me this initial theory. Also, I plan on fitting a maple leaf 60 and omega nub like I always do as I love the pairing (Unsure if it’ll fit the Madbull? Any help appreciated)

    erm...

All it needs is some “weight reduction” cut outs, borderline porn cartoon stickers, and it in shiny blue and it’ll be perfect for a certain demographic of player
  20. What’s the point in sending an offer, it getting accepted and then the buyer ghosts you? 🥱

Many such examples of fantasy bidding, sadly. When selling anything, my advert doesn't come down or get altered until money is in my hands.

Had the same happen to me a few times . I assume the seller had a higher offer and accepted it but didnt have the decency to tell you .

  21. Headed to a reenactment event last weekend and picked up an original fibreglass heat shield for an M14 (Been looking for one, for years) but sadly no M14 as I broke the Cyma one trying to upgrade it (Oops… may make an appearance as a boneyard project soon 😂) Popped into my local shop yesterday and was informed the G&G M14 could be acquired with some magazines (Regretted selling my veteran but couldn’t get mags at the time) - Collected it from them today and it’s so beautiful 😍 Sadly plastic stock but it doesn’t feel that bad.
  22. JG G36 - £160 Specna SA-E23 (Assuming standard) - £230 Vorsk Osiris - £130 The 3 replicas are £520 brand new combined (Yes, I'm this bored), so at least it's partially cheaper than new like normally posted 😂
  23. Received the A2 today, first impressions are: The body feels absolutely amazing, it feels like it's one solid mass with no creaking at all. Assembly is easy as can be, literally slide in, push a button and done. Admittedly I'm not a fan of the M-Lok handguard but that's just personal preference. What drew me to the SSR over others was the metal upper rail, and the modernisation of the platform. The trigger, oh my, the trigger 😩 It has a very smooth trigger pull, unlike the snow wolf aug I had prior (Although to be fair, may have just been a bad one?) and a very nice break between semi and full auto giving you a subtle indicator that you're about to go into the realm of brrrt. On top of this, the ability to spam the trigger (On a 7.4v, it recommends an 11.1v but I don't have any) on semi is beautiful. The safety bar is also incredibly smooth with a nice "thunk" when you're in safe/not safe. It chrono'd at roughly 242 on .25g BB's with the hop not adjusted at all from factory, didn't have the time to really mess with it too much so I'm assuming the hop may be nearly off. Magazine comparability: Snow Wolf magazines are a bit of a squeeze and need some gentle persuasion to go in, but they do fit and feed fine in the A2. The included mid cap goes in super smooth as expected, however both magazines look to be identical. I don’t have any other brands to test though. I'll be taking it out to a game with me next weekend, but I'm blown away by the absolute beauty and feel of it. I think it may replace my RPK as my go to pew for now... 👀 Edit: I forgot to mention my main gripe with the replica. The battery goes into the rear, like a normal Aug. However the “plate” seems to sit further back than I remember the snow wolf I had did. Making this rather awkward for slightly longer or thicker batteries. Not the end of the world, but worth taking into consideration!
