This the original gearbox and receiver?

I had that problem as well, tried to fit a new gearbox in my old M4 as stock one was crap. Snapped the stock selector plate on the new gearbox, then bought a new plate, was just as hard to get in, didn't snap the plate, but was really stiff to change fire mode, so sold the M4 and still got the gearbox sitting here . Gonna build an M4 from scratch though (apart from the internals as I have all those..).

I bet it's not Ed. Mac laptops tend to have crappy graphics and processors compared to other brands, yet you're spending more than twice as much..

Looks nice Nick, the thing that puts me off is the "FOR TRAINING AND SIMULATION USE ONLY, MADE IN CHINA" on the side..

I hate BF3. I've been banned from the last 7 servers I've been on for "Hacking/Cheating" because apparently I'm too good with the L96, so they tell me I can't use it. I then use the L85 and get banned.

My laptop runs ARMA 2 on high-max settings .

My day today: Get to school half 8, revise Chemistry constantly without breaks/food etc. until 12. Had a quick walk to Tesco for lunch at 12, then more revision from 12:15 to 1:15. Chemistry exam at half 1, felt so easy. If I've failed this exam, there's no chance of me passing any other exams ever. And for some reason, it's been a really good day.. Although blisters on thumb and fingers are somewhat annoying.

Well I have a 1000 lumen torch on my M16, and that's kind of blinding in daylight, but only if you're less than 3 metres away and looking directly at it..

I want to try it, I have Arma II and the extra stuff for it, CO and the other one, but I really can't get my head around all the controls :L. What do you need to use the DayZ mod, and does it work on the Steam version of the game?

What problems did you have? And before I get one, I'll have to find a place with them in stock, or wait.. On that note, is the G&P SR25 discontinued? It's not in stock anywhere, and it's not on their website.

But they're funny guns :L. The ARES uses a standard V2 gearbox, which I have a spare G&P one of, so if it does mess up, I have a replacement.

Have you had any experience with ARES guns? It seems to be just this forum that hates them, plus the odd few other people, but most places I've read recommend ARES saying they're great.. Besides, I don't like G&G externals. Especially their trademarks, it's either no trademarks or correct trademarks.

I want realism though, the A&K doesn't have trademarks, doesn't have an integrated front sight, and I prefer the M110 rather than SR25. Think I'll most likely get the ARES one, upgrade the spring and do the rest as it needs it.

I'm not touching mine anymore. My M16's pretty good at the moment. Although considering buying an SR25/M110, so that'll need upgrading if I get it.. :L
