  1. I’ve no idea. I haven’t even thought to deeply about the G&P design of the bolt. In fact I’ve not even installed it as of yet.
  2. This is mine out there box so to speak. The circlip isn’t flush with the bolt carrier
  3. I'll have this fella if it's is still available..
  4. That’s a good point about cutting the syphon tube cleanly and of course removing the valve to prevent any debris contamination. Regarding the bbs, I was under the impression that BLS, Geoff’s and Longbow share the same OEM. I’m not sure what the difference in Geoff’s precision vs super precision is though.
  5. Vortex Strike Eagle added. Damn this optic is good. I mean real good. Plonked it on top of a Vortex 2” offset cantilever mount. Quality kit. Period. Now I can see what I’m shooting at. Whether I hit anything is another matter 😂
  6. I like your scientific method of testing and recording the results... it's quite an eye opener and will for sure lend to much debate going forward... well it should In terms of BB's which brand are you using? I assume there is no variation in the brand yeah? Regarding the AG MPA nozzle, yeah that valve does look a tad suspect (blue loctite or not)... it definitely needs replacing as you said you used a RA tech valve. I've yet to do the green gas mod on any of my V2 mags... I believe the metal tubes inside are now glued on so have to be cut down... (thanks Marui)! cheers
  7. I think I'm defiantly swaying towards a MK23 now.... it's an itch that for sure needs scratching.... Don't you just hate such itches.. As it's not a CQB pistol I guess an extra mag should be fine right?
  8. Doesn’t the AG nozzle already have an adjustable valve? So why do you need the RA tech one? Also regarding the XL, what happened on the 7th Oct to give you the higher FPS readings? Also more interesting is the variance difference in all tests. I assume that’s the diff between a full mag and gas empty mag?
  9. Which colour you going for? I was thinking getting one too but will wait for your feedback. It’s gonna be superior though we all know that. I assume you just drop in the Marui compression parts Nozzle etc and voila? I have a spare G&P nozzle set which I could chuck into one just to see how it performs. I’d probably get the tan colour myself just to differentiate the HAO bolt from the marui or the other spare G&P bolt 🤷🏻‍♂️
  10. I'm still trying to figure out how you managed to get a video thru the lens on that and that you maintained focus.... impressive!
  11. The stock TM bolt is pretty loud as a matter of fact. Also I reckon that chap has a G&P buffer which actually dampens the sound too and of course allows the lighter bolt to move back and forth faster and with less clang. Personally speaking, that’s just looks all wrong 😂
  12. I should stick my G&P bolt in and see if I can do the same JuJu too? He’s probably lubed the bolt too I hazard to guess?
  13. My local site is thinking of holding a night game, in the woods! So it will be dark, very dark. Maybe a MK23 is the way to go now as it’s stealthy and can lob heavy ammo. Now all I need is night vision! That may have to be a different thread!!
  14. Buy a Novritsch? Never. I’d rather use a catapult 😂
  15. Yup, that’s the one, DTD, although I’ve no idea how it was attached to his leg lol. Regarding the trigger, I saw a YT video where the YT guy cocked the hammer the first time he used it and then on each subsequent shot he was still cocking the hammer back. Surely this is not the best practice? Also, one is the snipers at yesterday’s game said that he used the ASG mags as opposed to Marui as they were better. I should have asked why but was too busy drooling at the MK23!!! He said that get an ASG as it’s half the price and I’d end up gutting it anyway with aftermarket parts and that I’d more than likely do the same with a Marui. It can lift a 0.4? Blimey! I’ve only ever used 0.25s in my Marui G17 never anything higher. Figured a higher weight bb on a stock Marui pistol would be wasted. So did you have to do any specific upgrades to the FNX or just left it stock?
  16. Thanks for all your replies guys, it's much appreciated.. On today's game I had the opportunity to look at and handle a couple of Mk23, one was a Marui and the other ASG. The Mk23 was just staidly quiet.... I didn't really notice the trigger response truth be told, but the chap did have a snazzy holster where the Mk23 simply clipped to it. That looked cool. The size didn't really bother me to be honest. On one of the 2 hr games I played today, I had my DMR out. but sadly managed to use 270 rounds on that game with no back up weapon. It would have been nice to have a long ranged sidearm so that I could still pop off some kills at 30m to 50m.... How bad is the trigger though? Is it a deal breaker you think? And can the FNX-45 really shoot unto 80m on stock internals?
  17. Other than the sound dampening, is there any other reason to use the suppressor on the Mk23? Or do people simply use a longer barrel to gain any improvements in accuracy/groupings and potentially the slight bump in fps if any?
  18. Pew Pew Pew time.... :)

Hope you don't wind up with any RIF related issues this time round! Enjoy!

Thanks bud, it was all good. Played with my 416 and 417. No problems at all. Got some incredibly insane range kills. It was a bloody awesome day running around the woods.

  19. Folks, Advice and opinions needed please... I need a pistol as a backup to my DMR and can't decide on either a MK23 (NBB) or a FNX-45? Any thoughts? Pros and Cons? Real life airsoft experiences? I've been looking t YT and it seems the MK23 is the preferred choice for snipers as it's quite quiet being a NBB and having a good suppressor. I understand both models have superb range too? But what about longevity? Are they strictly green gas pistols or can I use more powerful gas like the Abbey Predator (which is still a green gas)... Ae either model easy to upgrade (if needed), etc.... thx
  20. I mean some pics are just well silly. Look at this. Call this an AK? If a seller wants his item to sell then take proper pics. It’s simple. If the seller can’t be asked then it’s not gonna sell and then don’t moan about it. Oh don’t forget to add fees and postage on top too. I mean what the actual.
  21. Some brother needs help with an appraisal folks.. can anyone advise?
  22. Awesome review of the MK18 MWS. Of course I understood it all. I did. Honest guv 🙄 And another review...
  23. Cool. Look forward to the results you get. I’m interested to know what the maximum, consistent FPS you get with different bb weights. Ta.
  24. I haven’t unscrewed anything to see what the insides are like. To be honest I got it on a whim whilst waiting for my replacement marui nozzle to arrive. Now I’m thinking, I may as well get the G&P npas valve and shove it into this bolt so that I can swap to using higher power when needed. I’m on a standard length (CQB) barrel so either i get the 3.5 version of the npas or I just get a 4.5 and adjust the power accordingly and hope that version works with the CQB. Dunno yet. Any thoughts? Now going back to the screw part it’s holding the hammer part of the bolt or whatever it’s called. Unlike the marui which has that bit forged as part of the bolt the G&P has it as a separate bit. See the pins below and you’ll see what I mean.
