I’m not talking about accuracy but rather added range and speed of BB.

Thanks for the detailed research @JUSTICE_RAINS I was somehow most surprised by the minimal difference in range from a longer barrel. I was somehow convinced that my 370 barrel was the source for the added “umpf”, power and range I have experienced with the MWS. Note. my MWS is second hand and came only with 370 mm barrel so I have no idea of the feeling nor performance of the standard barrel length. But I’m now enticed by the idea of making a shorter build as it will be easier to transport, maneuver and weight less + won’t have the negative effect on range as I initially had perceived. I’d just like to hear from some others whether or not this is the right route? Do others have the same experience that a longer barrel only translates into added FPS rather than added power which lifts BBs further?

Yeah, I’d also like to know - can’t find any info on these products through the vendors selling them. Yet, I’d rather test one of mysterious G&Ps than RA-tech ( which I have only had bad experiences with in other replicas ) only in Airsoft where there is so much myth and lack of info regarding products. In the end - I just want a modification to make my MWS safe for fielding. anyway - I’ll send an email to Redwolf and ask regarding G&P npas. They might know more than what they write on the product page.

I fielded my MWS this spring with a combination of 370 mm barrel, ML bucking and modded standard nub ( cut metal rod filling the hole ). Tried geoffs 0.4 yet favored ASG bio 0.32s - a good balance between range, reliance and speed of bb. A cost efficient bio bb that helped me reach out to around 75 m on a good day with no wind. In general, I’m in favor of the medium weight bbs and their speed opposed to the maximum range slugs. I remember a KC02 dmr with orga and 0.4s - gentrification changed the surroundings before the bb hit the target. that being said - I’d still Iike to try a 0.34 or 0.36 with the SIX gun nub in my MWS. That could be a sweet spot between range, accuracy and bb speed.

And ofc. Tokyo Marui presented a GBBR cousin to the MWS: the AKM. They also announced an MWS MK18 for those that need a second. have a great weekend!

I’m most confident that they will. Also some last bits I’d like to get rid of. ( standard trigger, guns modify hammer rotor, handguard mounting ring, standard trigger guard and billet trigger guard - all together for 20 € ).

Yeah, there are many different. But I went with the SAI and UAC both working great.

@GregArm I’d buy the HSB first and if you find yourself with the extra cash - buy yourself an extra bolt of Aluminium with all the guts. This gives you an emergency bolt for long games in case of the standard breaking. But this not really needed and will cost you around 120 €. Rather then spend the money on sporting your gear. Last advice: The HSB is enough

Well, you arrived to the sacred waters. Just plunge in from page 1 and when you are back here at 124 with some footing you’ll probably sell your GHK. There are also two shortcuts over the lake: six gun brass nub and modify tan bucking good luck!

Not the same problem but similar. Aluminium BCG and plastic buffer with the HSB. It’s extremely snappy and responsive but a sadness to see the bolt lock go away. But this gives me hope. What’s the heat shrink mod? I have seen it mentioned before but no detailed description. I’ll first try out the unwinding of the buffer tube and report back. update: unwinded the buffer tube one more full turn. Tried two at first which gave a positive result but one turn seems to do the job as well. Now then, how far back can you unwind the buffer tube without stability issues?

Just received my SAA pmags. Impressive build and really good finish. Love the slightly less weight ( not much - around 60 g - but ) which somehow gives them a nimble feel. one thing though. Mine doesn’t exactly free fall out of the magwell during reloads like in the videos I have seen. Is there a need to slightly sand them somewhere?

tricky to say as I haven’t done it myself. But badabing pictures ( great channel ) tried several exchanges with og TM parts and nothing fixed it.

The Pmags need a slight modification like seen in the link in P4radox’s post. But you can also buy the original TM part and replace it with. That’s what I did. I have heard that you get less recoil from the pmags but that’s negligible for me as I anyway play with aluminum bcg and plastic absorbers. I’d rather save some weight and get a better look and feel to the mag. It all depends on what you look for but out of the box - OG is better. ( p.s don’t trust me too much as my mags are still in HK )

gosh, I totally missed that. Thought that all HK shops sent with surface considering the situation we're in. Well I’ll have them before Christmas. It’s gonna be a strange airsoft summer with one 20 round mag. Just sold all my old originals 30 rounders to afford the pmags. enjoy the pmags

Seriously?! : (( it could have arrived by now if it was sent pronto with surface transport... just sent them an email to see what’s going on. I have much trust in Rainbow8 but they were out of black pmags which forced me to go looking somewhere else. How did Rainbow send your parcel? Surface or air?
