  1. @sp00n ah sorry, I forgot there is a new kid in town
  2. @sp00n gen 1 or gen 2 mag?
  3. Same problem here, there is an uneasy cracking from the XL loader itself and filling up my Prowin / SAA mags with bbs is everything but quick and effortless. I was a tad disappointed as the XL loader has a quite revered status in this part of the forum ( and not that cheap ). My conclusion was that it's perfect for OG mags while aftermarket springs are too heavy on it. Your report + an individual from the local field have me doubting on the XL. He had more luck with the small loaders from TM.
  4. Do we know the trigger pull weight for the MWS? Just curious. Is it even a 1 kg? ( couldn't find any official info on the internetz )
  5. @scar527 Strange I thought these would be identical to the MWS mags. Maybe the spring needs to wear in a bit?
  6. I think I want to see Badabing’s review and some aftermarket options before making a purchase. What I like about our MWS is that you can have spare bolts, uppers and lowers to switch things around and as backup in case something unfortunate happens. The AKM seems more cumbersome and without these options for quick modularity but then it’s also an AKM which clicks when empty... but I’m sure there will be after market parts by guns modify and such that turns it into an AK74 edit. But that Saiga might be a good buddy for the MWS!!
  7. Just realized why I actually bought the MWS in the first place: This Thread. A really informative platform reminiscent of the KC02 Facebook group. Quick answers regarding replica problems, modding, parts recommendation and a bit of friendly HPA bantering. Why did I realize that just now? Well, I tried to tap into the GBLS community as I found an affordable (!) second hand unit. But there is no community for that rif. The Facebook groups are hard to navigate. Information is lost and people seem genuinely disinterested in helping each other out.
  8. seeing LEFXGPFs luck Ill try the same. I’m trying to source an upper receiver to build a second complete upper. PM me if you have some parts laying around.
  9. I’d also consider the GBLS if these flaws mentioned were remedied. But another strong selling point for me would be cheaper mags. I could somehow see myself saving the cash for this immensely expensive toy if the mags / maintenance parts were less costly. I really don’t understand why the mags are so expensive. 50 euros a piece! That’s just as much as a gbbr magazine!
  10. @GothicGhost yes, but you might have to unscrew the buffertube 1-2 revolutions for the bolt lock to engage or get a lightweight bolt stop. Someone advised to not fully tighten the bad lever around the bolt lock. I don’t know why. Still waiting for mine from AliExpress...
  11. Small review on the Revanchist 45 degree selector. # Easy to install. # Fit and finish is great but not superb. There is maybe one mm of mushy play in each setting (safe and semi) but both settings have a steady and affirmative “click”. # A bonus for me is that you don’t need to run it ambi. Simply leave out the right side selector and the selector cylinder will end flush with the receiver. (You could even alter the positions of the long and short selector tabs respectively. In case you rather want the long tab on the right side of the receiver) All in all very happy with this purchase. Now moving on to install the bolt stop lever from the same brand. Strong aluminum and super light weight. I hope it will hold up to my aluminum BCG and allow for the use of a B.A.D lever.
  12. Hey @GothicGhost 99% of all after market free float rails / handguards will work on the MWS. Just get the shim from PTS and you are ready to go. The problem usually lies with those handguards relying on fixture both at the barrel nut and front sight post. good luck!
  13. True, it's perfect for OG mags. But not so good for the after market mags like A1A, Prowin and G&P. I wish I would have saved the 20 euros because my standard speed loader loads the Ace1Arms perfectly while the TM XL only get them to around 26 bbs. Can't wait for the GunsModify Pmags...
  14. I bought the Prowin evo magazine V2 as a base for my custom 60 rnd DMAG. Here are some first impressions: Postive: # Most lightweight mag # Solid construction # Great finish # Feeds well and consistent Negative: # Can't load more than 46 bbs out of the box. I have left some in the magazine to see if I can weaken the spring and later cram in the last 6 - 9 promised bbs. # Bolt lock doesn't engage with alu bcg and HSB. It's to fast for the mag. I really hope I can fix the bolt lock problem as that was the reason I bought the mag... On a side note. Lots of problems loading all mags with my TM speed loaders. I have lost the patience. Where can I source that plunger? ( it wasn't included with my second hand MWS )
  15. Should the inner barrel be more protected? There is now 3 mm between muzzle and inner barrel.
  16. @Cyberlawyer lovely PDW setup, how does it perform?
  17. @RMDavis Thanks for the calming words! How was the bucking that came with it?
  18. Any experiences with the G&P inner barrels? I’m considering to go the 263 mm route for a more compact build. Thus, leaving the 360 mm prommy behind after a year of chairsofting
  19. @SSPKali Thanks! Lot's of good thoughts. I'll scan the internet for a second upper to go with the spare BCG. Mags are plentiful and have spare parts! @Davegolf I have only skirmished a handful of times but I'll open it up as I don't know what abuse it might have seen from the previous owner. When is it time to change the springs in the MWS? And should I release the buffer spring when stored ( for a pandemic )?
  20. @Davegolf Yeah, that's self explanatory but there is no sign of that the trigger box needs a little love? Maybe its time to open up that trigger box after all. Two years of ownership + the unknown use of the previous owner. @Jacket Lovely to hear. But you cant remember the brand? G&P? -- -- -- I am trying to build a milsim kit for longer games ( I more or less only play at Berget once a year ) and I want to have the MWS ready for this task. I have the complete rifle + a spare BCG. The nozzle and nozzle spring are the only "fragile" parts that might pose a problem during such games which are covered by the extra BCG I have. But what would be the next backup investment? The lower seems pretty solid. Would a second upper be useful? In case of hop problems? which already seem pretty rare... let me know if there is something I'm missing
  21. How often should you clean out the trigger box?
  22. @Jacket Beautiful build, could you elaborate on the PDW stock? Any issues or something to consider before buying? @AngryDad223 thanks for letting us know. My end cap is actually a bit loose. Time for locktite or maybe a new stock ...
  23. @PewPewLoki Interesting find. I believed that the leak was from the middle of the mag where the two halves meet. That was at least how I got one leak free - simply by merging them with steel epoxy. Anyway, good to know that the valve is 1911 spec for Easy replacement. The question is however, did they become leak free after you changed out the valve? Also, could you clarify what o-ring it is that have created the maracas, and where it sits on the valve? I didn’t quite get that ( p.s haven’t seen this o-ring floating around in mind )
  24. Or for the price of a humidity protected GBLS + 5 mags you could buy three MWSs with lots of magazines and share with your team. Lots of smiles. No matter the weather.
  25. Not to puncture anything but I have to warn folks that this also happened to my PTS raptor as I opened it from the box... Not the end of the world, however, I find it disappointing having to fix a new part which costed 50 euros....
