Hi Everyone, 
 
Newbie here, so thought I should say hi.
 
I have so far only played at Blackhills in Chesterfield which I have found to be a great friendly bunch of peeps.
 
I am currently fighting the urge to spend on things I probably don’t need. 
 
I only have one RIF, which is a Cyma m4 with a few bolt on bits in Black and Tan.

Hi Gamble, please get a good clip-on microphone or something because the talking part is too low volume plus there is too much echo/reverb in your talking so I cannot hear it very well with my laptop speakers, and I don't have this issue with other Youtubers, so I am sure it is your audio and also your room is rather echoey. Content wise it seems fun to watch, but the audio quality is preventing me from enjoying them. The action parts are ok, just the room talking parts I really can't hear you.

Can't say that I have ever had a problem with his audio.
It sounds ok to me and I'm slightly impaired in left lughole lol.

Went to the snowdome in Tamworth a few times but that's all I can help with in terms of your area.
 
Plenty of knowledgeable and friendly people here, you'll hopefully find the peeps at your local site are equally as friendly - go as a rental but play fair and you'll soon earn some respect as a player rather than a member of a stag do.
 
Oh, definitely rent for a bit as it helps in so many ways - a) to make sure you actually like it, b) to sort your UKARA out and c) it stops you impulse buying a two-tone Ares and then regretting it.
 
While I'm on, best get a plug in for @GAMBLE's YT channel 👍
 

Hi Im not only a newbie to Airsoft but a newbie to Tamworth in general. 
i moved up from essex a few years back and have switched from paintball to airsoft as i got fed up of the speedballers. 
looking to make friends and find the best places to play any advice  on where to go would be brilliant

Get yourself a padded rifle bag with lots of pockets and one that can be worn on back. You will find it fairly comfortable and can easily be slipped of and put between legs when on tube or bus and as far as anyone knows it could be holding a guitar or sports equipment.
take a look on eBay or in the classifieds on this forum.
 
if you want tips on gear and game play then I would advise to check out our very own @GAMBLEhe has a tube channel which will give you lots of advice on gear and gameplay.

Got interested a few months ago but have not played a game yet. Mainly interested in the game play and tech side of things. Spent many hours watching Youtube videos and researching about gear boxes etc. Now wants to get a two-tone and do a budget build before first game. Also putting together a basic kit, already got eye-pro and pair of boots. Not high on budget so is after a simple kit that works well and is fun to play and tinker with, and easy to transport.

Now I am based in west London and can only use public transport, Red 1 Chislehurst is around 1 hr 45 mins from me and seems to be a good site judging by reviews etc so I am thinking of going there to do my UKARA and do regular games afterwards.

My biggest problem now is how do I lug my stuff around on the Tube and buses easily and without drawing attention? I don't imagine a backpack will be big enough and I would rather have everything on wheels so I don't exhaust myself before even reaching the site. Are wheeled duffel bags good? Any tips and tricks? Best tip I can give is to have a gander at @GAMBLE. He is on this forum and on the tube thing.
He will be able to give you plenty of hints and tips regarding guns and equipment plus action videos to get you playing like a veteran 👍

Glad you had fun, you'll stop aching eventually! Good plan on renting, it'll stop you making an impulse buy and then regretting it later. If you're itching to buy stuff then I'd recommend getting other kit like eyepro, boots etc - it's certainly what I'm doing right now.

Thank you, got a basic CQB load out will roll with it for now and hopefully get decent with that before I get a big gun. Not interested in pyro and such, it's cool but seems like just throwing money away for a few kills. I'm quite reserved a reckon. Not into the hi capacity mags and all that stuff neither, I like to switch mags under pressure and such, feels realistic and adds to the immersion. My cash problem will probably come from expensive CNC work on pistol slides and such things like that.

Only rocking a Pistol at the minute so sticking to CQB which is mostly what Manchester has on offer anyway, will play more outdoor when I get a bigger platform.
 
Interested in snooping around absorbing veteran knowledge and perhaps getting under the wings of local people.
