  1. Hey Chai, Unfortunately I am still using it or should I say will be using it. I have scavenged the Scope of it to put on the new PSG-1 GBB and plan on purchasing a Vortex Crossfire and 3x Magnifier so I can use it as a middle distance rifle. i.e. I have my MWS Block One for CQB and Skirmishes, my PSG-1 DMR for sneaky sniper stuff which leave a big hole in the middle which I hope will be filled by the TTR1. Soz. Are Angry Gun still making them? I know they were extortionate when they came out. It does look pretty cool though! Excuse the Dogs paws in the photo, bugger get’s everywhere!
  2. Now firstly I am not a fan boi!! But I was in the market for a Plate Carrier. My criteria were - Lightweight (I previously had an issued Osprey Plate Carrier which weighed a ton and made you sweat like buggery) and that I could get a Hydration system to. insaw that every one’s favourite Austrian had released a new camo so I had a look at it and quite liked it. Had a browse of the rest of his site and saw the Plate Carrier which has an open hexagonal plate and mesh panels to let the heat out. It also had a matching Hydration pack available so I pulled the trigger. It turned up today and I am very impressed. It is solidly built and looks fantastic. I love the new Camo, I know some won’t and some may even not like it purely because Novritsch made it. Silly really if it is a good product. lived the little pack that came with it with Stickers and a patch. I agree that I now need to purchase the matching pouches from his site but I don’t mind that. In the meantime I am going to fit my multicam pouches. That will wind the Geardos up. 😂😂😂
  3. Well, I had a delivery from everyone’s Austrian friend. I have to save the new pattern looks very good and no where near as orange in some of the photos. Very well made Plate Carrier and with the hex plate is super lightweight and breathable. It’s about 1/3 of the weight of the Issue Osprey plate carrier I had before. I got the Hydration pack and Bladder as well after crouching in the undergrowth with 2 team members at Gunman Eversley and they all grabbed their tubes and had a drink whilst I was dying of thirst and wishing that my drink back at the Safe Zone was closer!! I was also impressed with the ‘bag of sweets’ inside the box. It contained some Nov stickers (which will never be used), a Pistol Patch and some very useful BB weight stickers that will definitely be used on my plethora of speed loader so I can be sure what I have filled them with. I agree with one post about having to get matching pouches from one place but I am going to use my multiCam ones for now and change as necessary. I am sure some Geardo will complain that I am mixing patterns but oh well… overall very impressed and looking forwards to trying it out in game.
  4. Hey all, I wanted to tap into the hive mind that is all MWS owners. As some of you may know I have an MWS built with the Angry Gun Tarran Tactical TTR1 Conversion kit (got it for a steal from a great guy in Holland). I had intended on using it as a DMR so fitted a Scope. COVID got I the way so I never used it in anger. I have now purchased the phenomenal Umarex H&K PSG1 GBB and for the mean time I have fitted the scope on there so need to replace the optic on the TTR1. I am hoping to go Red Dot with a magnifier or something like that so that I can use it as a hybrid with a bit more reach but under the 350fps so no minimum engagement distance. I have a Vortex in my other MWS so looking for similar sort of thing. Am I completely off the mark or do we all think this is a decent idea. Looking forwards to the suggestions
  5. I think that is the perfect plan! I have yet to fire it today but the 10 rounds yesterday showed it had a lovely kick and was pretty loud as well
  6. You can fit an NPAS to the TM. I have the RA Tech one fitted to my DMR version. They are very easy to fit and take about 15 minutes to fit. To adjust you just need to remove the bolt carrier which takes a second. As you have real steel, you will have no problem with this. Have a look at BadaBing reviews on YouTube. He is a big MWS / VFC fan and does quite a few comparison videos as well.
  7. Hi Spice, Welcome to the forum. Like you, I went against the grain. I was warned off going GBBR by so many people but it didn't stop me. I had an AEG from about 2 minutes before I went all in with a Tokyo Marui MWS. I would definitely recommend this over all the rest. Totally reliable and top perfomance out of the box. There is a huge post (the biggest one on this forum) about the MWS and what to do to improve it (Not that you need to do too much). I would stay away from HPA for the moment, it has its advantages but also has alot of technicalities plus the realism of an MWS makes Airsoft so much more than a BB flinging competition.
  8. Hey JimFromHorsham, If you are indeed, as your name suggest, from Horsham then you aren't to far away from me, I am in Clanfield, just to the South of Woking. If you ever find yourself up this way you are welcome to come and have put a mag or 2 through it at the house. I quickly fired a few shots yesterday, the first shot just went about 20 feet and I thought oh....... well thats dissapointing. Pulled the trigger again and the next shot appeared to warp into another universe!!! Wow it has some power and was completely dead straight without touching the hop up! Holy poop balls this is going to be fun at the field. I will get the Chrono out today and see what it is shooting at on .4s
  9. I run .32 in both of my MWS. Both have the SixG nub and Modify Tan Bucking and I have to dial off the hop as it send them skywards otherwise. Never had a problem with running hot ever. In fact most manning the chrono look at me as if to say ‘that’s a bit low’. Then they see the BBs disappearing into the distance. Ah, the TM fairy magic!!
  10. Well I have finally got my hands on it!! The Umarex/VFC H&K PSG-1 Gas blow back DMR! That title is nearly as long as the Rifle itself! This thing is huge! I have just got back from collecting it from Combat South, thanks to Russ and Mark for sorting this out. Totally hassle free and the best ever customer service. I enquired with Russ wether he can get one and nothing was to much trouble. Ordered on Saturday and got it today (Thursday). No deposit or assurance needed as I have purchased off them before. Top bloke, top shop. Anyway, I have fitted a Harris bipod on it and will be fitting the Scope from the Tarran TTR-1 MWS for now. I may have a look around for a TM copy of the original scope but the one I have with the low riser should do quite well for the moment. I also ordered another mag so I can head out to the field asap (taking the other half away to a Spa Hotel this weekend to score some brownie points) so it won’t be for a week or so. Anyway, I am going to gas this thing up and give it a go in the Garden. I have about 45m if I shoot diagonally so should get a good idea of how it shoots. Oh and I took one photo with my TM MWS Block 1 for size comparison. The MWS looks like a pistol compared to it!
  11. Excellent news, I will look into it and make sure I am free. Do you have a link to the details?
  12. I like it. I am no where near a fan boy but I have just ordered a plate carrier and hydration in the new pattern. I have been looking at getting a plate carrier but wanted something that didn’t make me sweat like a fat bloke in a cake shop. Loved the features they have on theirs and for the price I thought why not. Now I know if I had looked around I could have found the original design that they ripped off but do I want to spend that time doing that? I don’t understand the hatred that people have towards him. I understand that he takes designs or features from other kit etc and creates his version but doesn’t every company do that. Even Supermarket’s look at their competitors and copy what they are doing to stay competitive etc. no one moans about Sainsburys stocking what Lidl has? Or that Ford now has a feature in their Car that Mercedes invented. Like I say, I am not a fanboy, this is the first thing I have ever bought from his site but as I see it, his videos are not the ‘Cheater implodes’ crap (although he did do some in the past but I think his friend Silo put a stop to that). He has built a platform to promote his products which is good marketing and he brings people into our sport which makes it better for us in the long run. Looking forwards to getting my plate carrier and replacing my creaking battle belt and yoke. 6 gas mags, pyro and a radio are starting to show its limitations…
  13. Hey RebelScum, I was at Gunman Eversley on Sunday. Despite having played Airsoft for years it was my first experience of a FilmSim. Wow, absolutely loved it! The more in-depth rules, longer games etc. The style of play definitely suited me as well. As a devout GBBR lover running real cap mags, I was only going through 2 mags in the 2 hour games. I can go through all 6 in a 20 CQB. Hats off to the Gunman guys and gals, great organisation, nice and relaxed and amazing sites (Camps Alpha and Bravo). Really need to get involved in more filmSim and definitely do a milSim or 2.
  14. Having recently come back to Airsoft after a three year hiatus, I have recently discovered Gunman Airsoft in Eversley!! How did I never go here before! Great sites (Camps Alpha and Bravo), fair play (on the whole as the forcefielded ones get everywhere) and a bunch of top guys and girls running it. I experienced my first filmSim at Camp Alpha on Sunday. Having only ever played CQB or Skirmishes, I absolutely loved the longer games, more in-depth games. It also helped that I invested in a Radio and headset which helped with the immersion. Turned up on my own and made friends with a great bunch of lads that became a mini squad. Great fun, sneaking around trying to raid other bases etc. one funny part was myself and another team member spent 30 minutes creating to the main gate in the middle of the site. We were surrounded by enemies from the other 2 teams. All of a sudden, 4 well placed BBs came our way taking us both out. Arms went up, the call went out “Blue Medic”, short pause……. The guy that shot us says “ Wait, what colour are you?”. We obviously answered “Blue” followed by a loud “Shit!”. It was a case of Blue on blue… quite literally!! He was very apologetic but got shot as well whilst trying to heal us. I only did half a day as I headed home early to score brownie points with the other half so it was a win all round. Can’t wait for the next filmSim as that is my new favourite game mode.
  15. Oops…. I was just browsing the web and managed to buy a VFC/ Umarex H&K PSG-1 GBB DMR!!! I am a Gas guy through and through (3 TM MWS of varying guises) and was completely seduced by it!! It didn’t help that every review I read said how amazing it was!! Fingers crossed it is here before Sunday so I can take it to the FilmSim at Gunman Eversley. so excited to get it now!!
  16. It all started when I decided to turn an outbuilding into an indoor range for Airsoft. It was originally going to be some knock down targets and some paper targets with some form of BB catcher. This quickly turned into 'It would be good to have a system where I can have targets appear'. So I pulled out my Raspberry Pi that I had originally bought years ago to develop an LCD Dash for my Race Simulator. I ended up being gifted a working one from a company that made them so it was put back in its box and into a cupboard. After a bit of research, as I have never developed anything on the Pi, I ordered some vibration sensors from Amazon and grabbed some micro servos from the workshop. Now the idea I had was a small hit plate held on a base that would when 'off' would sit side on to the shooter. When 'on' it would rotate 90 degrees. The vibration sensor would then register any hits whilst it was rotated and score them. I fired up Fusion 360 and started designing the hit plate and base that would house the Servo. Onto the 3d Printer and many hours later I had both of the main components (I still need to design and print the arm the servo will connect to but I will do that when I have the hit plate mounted so I can work out the perfect position). I then fired up the Raspberry Pi and started coding (after a bit of youTube research!). Below is a video of the initial tests. To explain the parts you can see in the video, the big white plate is the hit plate and you are looking at the back of it. The small circuit with the 2 green LEDs is the vibration sensor. The big black block is the base where you can see the servo mounted within it. You can also see the Raspberry Pi with the signal wires plugged in. The white breadboard is being used to supply 5v to the servo and 3.3v to the sensor. After I run the code, which is a very early test, the User Interface is displayed (which will eventually show the mode selection, the timer, the results etc etc). Click go, it counts down from 3 and then moves the servo 90 degrees. Once this is connected to the hit plate once it is mounted, this will rotate the plate to face the shooter. I then tap the hit plate to simulate a BB hitting the plate, the vibration sensor recognises this a fires off the correct function in the code. Once the plate it it, you see the servo do a little wiggle (signifying a hit) and then returns to its original position which would turn the hit plate side on to the shooter. This initial test is for a speed mode where all the targets (I am thinking 6) turn to face the shooter at the same time, the shooter has to hit each one as quickly as possible and is timed until the last one turns back. Any other ideas that I can add to this? Any idea on other modes I can code in to this? Once this is done I will share all the code and stl files if someone else wants to make it as well. let me know what you think gents.
  17. I am sure I do have 370 somewhere. I will see if I can dig it out. Cheer mate
  18. Hey Dave, Long time no speak. I was using Abbey Predator Ultra Red Gas, .32 non bio BBs. The temp today here is around 18 -19 degrees and it has an Orga 6.05 10.5 inch inner barrel.
  19. Well the results are in. I have to say that it seems more powerful than the actual numbers. So the Block 1 which is standard is coming out at around the 260 fps using .32s and red gas The TR1 DMS is coming out between 370 - 350 fps using .32s and red gas I have a decent size garden so it was just short of 60m from firing point inside the outbuilding to the target. It is a little windy today but the DMR was firing straight with no hint of a drop off when it hit the target and it was still motoring when it got there. Pretty pleased with the results but we will see when I use it in anger in a game. Are those figures around the norm gents?
  20. Well after a long sabbatical from the sport I am now back and I finally got round to finishing of the Taran Tactical TR1 John Wick. It uses the Angry Gun TTI TR1 John Wick kit. Before a few of you tell me about the evil of Angry Gun parts, all the internals are all MWS apart from a tan bucking and a longer 6.05 inner barrel. Also I didn't pay the absurdly expensive price of £900 or whatever it was. I got it off a former member on here that bought it just to get an upper he had broken. I got eh whole thing including a near full MWS for a bargain price. Regarding the quality of the kit, I did have to do a little bit of light engineering to get the trigger mechanism to fit in the lower but everything else in the kit fitted quite nicely. I also fitted a new BCG with a built in NPAS ( I can't remember the name as I bought it over 2 years ago and never fitted it. I gave it a test fire and with the NPAS wound all the way in (max power) this thing is bloody powerful. I will run it through the Chrono tomorrow to see what it is coming out as then adjust accordingly. The second photo also shows my original Block 1 MWS for size comparison which is totally standard and totally bullet proof!
  21. Hi guys, Just a quick NPAS question. I am fitting an NPAS to the DMR MWS and after stripping the BCG and removing the stock valve, I dropped the RA-Tech NPAS in with its return spring in place. When I push it forwards with a screw driver (from the back of the valve) it gets stuck in the nozzle due to a tight fit. I removed it and measured the diameter with digital callipers. The diameter of the original TM valve was 6.98mm however the NPAS measures at 7.30 so there lies the problem. It’s just too fat. has anyone else seen this and do you have to sand it down to fit better? I worry about creating air leaks if I start sanding down the outside diameter!
  22. This..... without a doubt!
  23. Hey guys, So I have ordered a replacement nozzle to replace the broken one and thought I would take the opportunity of fitting an RA-Tech NPAS whilst it was all in bits. However, I cannot find anywhere in the UK that has them in stock. I have searched and searched. Anyone got one they want part with? Or anyone know were there is stock that I cannot find (I own an IT company so I have no excuses for crap searching!!) Also I assume the WE one doesn't fit as there are loads of them around (Before anyone shoots me down, everytime I search for TM MWS NPAS I get lots of results for the WE and they rank above most of the MWS specific results so just wanting to verify they don't fit 😁)
  24. Hey guys, The piston, more specifically the nozzle on the piston, seems to have taken a hit (possible double feed) and dented the front edge of the nozzle just enough to cause it to occasionally not seat properly. Looking to replace it. Is it best to stick with an oem TM part or is there an equivalent alternative? Looking to fit an NPAS at the same time as this is on my DMR. Thanks for the help in advance
  25. We have all been there!! My other half still thinks that both of my TM MWS rifles are worth about £100 in total.....😏....... or at least I think that is what she thinks
