  1. Gents, I was just looking at the european shops you were talking about, wow you guys pay a lot for the MWS!! Not far off £600 for the guys who have stock!! Fire Support here in the UK have stock of the MWS for £479.99 which comes out as around €547. Obviously you would have to factor in shipping, import taxes (??) but you would also be taking off the VAT (20%) as they cannot charge you if you are in not in the UK. It could be a way to go especially looking at the prices you guys pay. One thing I don't know is if they would ship outside the UK but then again we are still in the European Union.
  2. Last night before heading off to The Bunker, I borrowed one of those wheel measuring thingies off a surveyor neighbour and measured the distance from shooting spot to target spot. 51.4 metres 👍😉
  3. @itsme With a tight bore barrel, the SixG Super Nub and a Modify Tan bucking, guys are getting .4s out to 80m consistently. As stock my CQBR is sending .3s out to 50m - 60m (measured by eye as don’t have a range finder). I have a couple of super nubs and modify tan buckings so plan on fitting to see how it changes the range. Although don’t know if it is worth it on the CQBR as it is already shooting way further than I will ever need where I skirmish indoors.

  5. Hi @itsme, They are both the same apart from (as you said) the barrel length. 250mm on the CQBR and 330mm(???) on the M4A1. The internals are identical apart from that. The photos above your post are of my CQBR. It all depends what you are going to be using it for. If you are outdoors, then maybe go for the longer version or if you are indoors/CQB then the CQBR is perfect. In fact the CQBR in stock form is still amazing outdoors and easily out performs my AEG. I went the CQBR route as I play a lot in the underground tunnels and the prison down in Portsmouth. That said I am looking to purchase a second one and create an outdoor specific version. I assume you have read through the topic pages (lots of) as there is a treasure trove of information and there are lots of guys on here that know way more than me ( @Wo1f @Davegolf etc). Let us know which way you go.
  6. All fitted and looking low profile. Took no time at all but make sure you have some very small punches to pop the pins bout of the foresight. I co-witnessed the holosight before removing the front and rear iron sights so it should be pretty close to sighted. Off the the UCAP Bunker in Portsmouth tonight so it will be the first skirmish with the MWS!! Exciting!
  7. Having looked at the VLTOR gas blocks and being shocked at the price of them. I decided give a cheaper option a go first. Ordered this low profile gas block to replace the front sight version and so far I am impressed. Made of machined aluminium and should look sweet once it’s on. Best thing is it only cost £8 from Patrol Base!! 👍
  8. I wish I hadn't asked now..... that image will always stick with me!! I am going to go home and cuddle my MWS tonight!. Gentlemen, a minutes silence for @LVOA-Ds upper please. I hope you get an upper sorted soon. I will keep an eye out as well.
  9. Quick question @LVOA-D, How did you break your upper??😯
  10. Before I did the green gas mod on mine I got around 40 (one full mag then a couple more once refilled with BBs). That was on Abbey Predator Ultra Gas. After the mod I easily got 3 mags on a single fill and it fired a few no trouble out of a 4th refill.
  11. @Wo1f That does make sense. The BBs I was using were a bottle of ASG Blasters that I had inherited when I bought a Second hand AEG last year. I assumed they were new as it was a full bottle. When I put them back in the cupboard after using them and the mag jamming I noticed they a number of them were tracers and glowing. I assume now that they are a miss match that the guy just bottled up. I will chuck them when I get home and use the new ones I bought. Thanks for the pointer 👍
  12. Is it just me that got very nervous and a sweaty top lip when I read this!! 😳 You are a braver man than I am @rocketdogbert!! 😉 on another note, I have had my first issue with my CQBR (well one of the magazines at least). I was testing distance with the stock bucking etc when I got a miss feed and the bolt didn’t lock back. On removing the magazine I saw that the bb’s were sitting about 5mm below the feed lip as can be seen in the photos. I haven’t had chance to strip it yet but I assume either the follower has got jammed or the spring has snapped. Guess I will find out when I strip it. 😡
  13. In the words of the modern day poet, Ice Cube “I gotta say, today has been a good day”!! a few goodies turned up today including the War Mag reloader that @Immortal recommended. Works perfectly although I assume the winding handle Is prone to breaking as they send your 2!! Green Gas mod now done on all the mags, going to fill them to test for leaks then do a bit of chronoing with it stock.
  14. Excellent bit of info there Immortal. I will set it up tonight when I get home. Gotta love this forum!
  15. I was hoping to avoid using one to keep the sight as close to the barrel as possible for quick sighting. if that’s the only option then I will go that way.
  16. Cheers @Davegolf, I know what you mean. I was planning on changing the front rail but now I have it in my hands I love the look of it. one question I do have for the MWS collective is, I have a red dot holosight that I want to fit to the CQBR however the front sight blocks aiming. I remember reading about someone removing it and having problems with the stock front rail? I may be wrong. Also I saw that someone had posted about a replacement front sight that folder flat in line with the top rail. My question is do I need to do something special or can I just remove it?? cheers guys
  17. I have finally joined the club when I picked up my MWS yesterday!!! I went for the CQBR version and I am blown away by it!! I gassed up a magazine when I got home and wow. Absolutely love it!! i picked up some more magazines and I received 2 super nubs from Six Gunsmith (Thanks for the 1 day turnaround Dave!). Just waiting for the Modify Tan buckings to turn up. I have yet to do the green gas mod but my other half is out tonight getting her lips done (!!) so will tackle it then. just wanted to thank everyone for the amazing information and help and I am pleased to be a member of Club MWS 😁
  18. Cheers for the info guys. Mags ordered. Will look into the bucking as well. @Jimmeh I think I will run the CQBR standard and then do the mods to DMR build of the next one.
  19. Hi guys, Firstly thank you for starting the Thread @Wo1f and secondly thanks to all that have added to this treasure trove of information. I have now decided to join the club and purchase a CQBR next week (I play a lot at the Bunker and the Prison down in Portsmouth so very CQB!). Looking to run standard apart from running the Modify Bucking/Brass Nub combo. I will be purchasing an A1 and building an outdoor version as well but that can wait for a while. The only question I have is where the hell are you guys getting your Mags from? I have searched high and low for over a week but to no avail. Managed to find some at Redwolf Airsoft in HK but when I came to order them they were suddenly out of stock! Also the Modify Tan Bucking is rather elusive as well! Can't wait to get my hands on it!!
