Thanks for the info, think i just need to bite the bullet and get booked on. Clothing, tactical gear etc is all good, it's more the sleeping kit i don't have or a decent/big enough back pack. Do people tend to take the small one man tents? And for food, portable stoves? Cheers

Really want to get involved with a more mil sim based event, especially the catterick based one's. It's not something that appeals to my normal game day friends, how accessible is it to people that go alone? For the 24 hour events, as a complete novice, what sort of equipment do you need to take? Got absolutely hammered at Proving Grounds yesterday, still a good day though. Sonofsammo I do believe I saw you rocking your SRS (non bands) probably shot me a good few times!!!

Indeed, I was there! Sorry I missed you.
And yes, I was non bands - combat 95s, baseball cap and SRS 😄 (a get up which is completely invisible to the site camera!).
The teams did seem very unbalanced for some reason - it's not normally like that.
I was having problems with the SRS cos of my dark balls lol -- couldn't see where they were hitting, so I had fewer than ten proper kills all day with it.
There's always next time - I love that place! -
Yeah its a great site, will be back next month. Think i managed about 5 kills lol spent most of the day just in front of spawn!! Did get caught in a few pics tho.

Thanks, I quite fancy switching to co2 mags for once the cold weather comes in and green gas starts been problematic. Strict 350 site rules tho has always put me off a bit.
