  1. I wasn't keen on hi capas when I started airsoft, but I have come to regard the TM ones as probably the greatest of all airsoft pistols. They have the best trigger of any pistol and are the easiest to disassemble and reassemble. There are not that many internal parts to worry about. Metal slides, outer barrels etc are readily available. The only thing I don't like about them is the grip, but that is easily fixed. I prefer to fit Guarder tactical grips which make the hi capa look more like a regular 1911 and less like a race gun. But if you like the race gun look, you can pick up a Cow Cow grip for not much more than twenty quid, and buy a nice magwell to compliment it. I have had loads of pistols over the years, and I love Glocks, but the hi capa has been the most reliable and the best performing. The FNX 45 was pretty good but I never got used to the look of it. 2. The Nuprol, and Amomax holsters were made to fit the TM Glock 17 Gen 3 which is copied by the WE Glock 17, so they will fit. I know from personal experience. But some don't like the style. https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/nuprol-eu-series-pistol-retention-paddle-holster https://www.amazon.co.uk/Amomax-Retention-Holster-Black-Airsoft/dp/B07W14HYXY Other options would be adjustable hard holsters from Amomax and Swiss Arms. https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/amomax-per-fit-universal-holster-for-80-pistols?fv=17021&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwiYOxBhC5ARIsAIvdH51Tna6rYugHmggHZZBe7RNEbY5j-Nh_3MjoVMg0GDivXE0ohqMq9SAaAkSJEALw_wcB https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/swiss-arms-adaptx-level-3-adaptable-holster

Hi Capa are my favourite pistols, and I've had, and still have several. I fancied one in a silver finish for a change and purchased this two weeks ago. Great gun as they all are but I have discovered that silver isn't really for me. I put 144a gas in the mag to test it, and apart from that, haven't touched it at all. Never opened any of the usual accessories or even opened the booklet. It is as I received it. With postage the gun cost me about 154 pounds. I am selling for 100 pounds posted. With the cost of postage and Paypal fees I will be getting about 85 pounds out of the deal. If you are interested please let me have your current UKARA number, name and postcode.

  4. I thought oil based lubricants were not recommended for airsoft guns. Or is that another myth?
  5. Just lots of negative views on other forums and some on youtube, because they are cast and not cnc. The Knuckles hi capa bloke for example advises people not to buy them. But then forums are often full of negative views on products. Nice to hear some positive ones on here. Thanks to you all. I'll probably give them a try.
  6. Thanks. Good to know. What outer barrel did you use in it?
  7. I have gone for the likes of Gunsmith Bros/Airsoft Masterpiece metal slides for hi capas in the past. There are so many warnings against buying Guarder ones because of the fitting issues that I have never considered them. And then there is the business of using the same manufacturer for both the outer barrel and the slide, and Guarder tends to use tilting steel outer barrels. But maybe a non tilting barrel from another maker would actually work with their slides. The problem is that, apart from the ones with race gun cut outs, there are very few 4.3 metal slides on the market. The one I like the look of most is actually a Guarder one, and there is rarely a shortage of Guarder stuff. Some retailers ask as much or more for them as they would for a premium cnc slide, but in the Far East they are cheap. The one I like is this: https://boomarms.com/products/guarder-aluminum-slide-for-marui-hi-capa-4-3-springfield-dual-ver Of course with postage and tax it will work out a good deal more expensive. Has anyone ever had a good experience with a Guarder hi capa slide.

I bought this, only a few weeks ago, with the intention of getting a Guarder full metal kit for it, partly because I prefer the non railed frame and Guarder makes one. However I only got as far as fitting the Guarder grips to it. After getting into difficulty trying to customise my TM Glock 19, I decided to scrap the idea of putting a metal kit on the Sig. Anyway, apart from a couple of tiny shallow marks (just about visible in the photo of the left grip) which I managed to get on it when changing the grips, the gun is as new. It has never been skirmished, or even taken out into the garden, just test fired indoors with 144a gas only. Performance is what you would expect from a TM, smooth and crisp. If TM had made it without rails I would probably have kept it. The pistol comes in its original box with all the stuff Marui puts in it. I also bought a set of Guarder nylon grips with hexagonal screws. The gun cost me 140 pounds and the grips and screws anther 35. The magazine is the later improved one piece type that also comes with the E2. If interested please let me have your name, postcode and UKARA number. 80 pounds posted with Tokyo Marui grips and slotted screws only OR 90 pounds posted with mint Guarder grips and hexagonal screws, plus factory grips

The gun comes without a mag and is not functioning. The slide is cracked at the back and stained, the frame is very shiny but intact. All of the internals are included - everything from the frame and the slide. I have left them fitted for convenience but the trigger unit and/or trigger bar will need looking at again. Some of the pins have been replaced and there is a brand new Guarder slide stop lever and spring installed. There are also one or two bits that I either replaced or bought and didn't use which I will put in a little bag. The slide will need to be removed with a bit of wiggling and force, or I could remove it for you if you prefer. History: in case you are wondering. I have a complete set of internals for the TM Glock 19 Gen 3. It's a long embarrassing story but I tried to put the TM frame internals into a Guarder frame. I have done this before with Guarder Glock 17 Gen 2 and 4 frames and encountered little or no difficulty. However the Glock 19 frame was anything but a straight fit. When I finally got them in, the slide stuck and I had to hammer it off. I tried again - first removing material from the inside of the frame and trying the slide again - and again and again and again, finally damaging the Guarder frame and breaking the TM slide. In the end I gave up, put the parts in a box and sold the magazine. So what I have now is a complete set of internal parts including bbu, outer and inner barrel, front and rear sights etc - everything except a slide, frame and magazine. I still have the original Marui frame which has a slight mark next to one of the assembly pin holes that you would probably not notice. . The slide is cracked at the back and stained, and needs to be replaced and the frame is very shiny but intact. All of the internals are included - everything from the frame and the slide. The slide will need to be removed with a bit of wiggling and force, or I could remove it for you if you prefer. Please note: this gun does not work but it has all the parts. When it was working I only ever test fired it before attempting to change the frame. The nozzle return spring is bent and will need replacing, and as far as I know it is the only part that does. But I am not an expert and there are no guarantees with this gun. However I think 30 pounds for a complete set of TM internals is a fair deal, for anyone looking for spare parts etc, and I am sure that a more talented tinkerer than me could get it to work. Comes in the original box with owners manual. Since it is technically still a rif, I will need UKARA from prospective buyers. 5 pounds extra for postage

  10. Is the silver finish on the Dual Stainless frame as fragile as the silvery grey finish on the 5.1 Stainless. Or does it come off just as easily? I never skirmish my pistols or keep them in holsters, so how well would the Dual Stainless stand up. I want it so that when they become available again I can replace the TM plastic slide with a silver metal one. If it scratches easily I would probably be better off sending the ordinary black frame on my standard 4.3 for cerakoting.
  11. Are the Tokyo Marui Glock 17 nozzle and piston head a straight fit into a Guarder bbu?
  12. Nice. Is that a replacement plate only, or a completely new slide?
