  1. I'm toying with the idea of parting with my MWS and would appreciate peoples thoughts on it's value. I do realised there was a post below regarding another MWS but as mine is slightly different I feel its appropriate to start a new thread. The key points are as follows;

    • I purchased it including the upgrade package in November 2021 and it has been used between 10-20 times in that period so is used with some wear and tear. Most notably is there's slight damage to a small part of the stock which is pictured and doesn't affect it's use.
    • It has a Fortis PTS Fortis REV™ Free Floating Rail System - 9" - Carbine Cut Out installed and the original carbine hand rail is included. (Original cost £97)
    • It comes with the original box with miscellaneous Tokyo Marui paperwork.
    • The ACOG scope and red dot is a repro but a good one that holds zero. (Original cost £129.99).
    • It comes with 6 MWS magazines with Magpuls that have been very well maintained with maintenance gas after every game day.

    The internal upgrades were all completed by Eagle6 and tested before being shipped and the only work completed by others (me!) has been lubrication of the moving parts and maintenance gas to the mags. My approach being; if it broke I would throw money at Eagle6 to fix it but that has not happened and it shoots great.

    The upgrade list is as follows and was focused on not affecting the in built efficiency of the gun;

    • Laylax 370mm Tightbore barrel 6.03mm
    • Nineball Hop Rubber Soft Purple
    • Prometheus Flat Hop Nub = 10.82
    • Laylax Hop Unit = 42.48

    Here is the video of it being tested by Eagle6:

    If I was to sell I would be looking to sell the lot rather than split and if anyone has any questions do let me know.

    Cheers,

    N

  2. Send it back to the retailer you bought it from while you can.

    I had a similar problem with the mil-pro earmor headset and PTT and went through the whole trouble shooting process with the retailer, which involved replacing both the headset and PTT, and even then neither system ever worked!

    Earmor PTT are terrible quality (currently) so it’s worth looking at other brands. I’ve gone for Peltors which have worked fine from day 1.

  3. I'm quite keen on trying a bullpup platform as I have always run AK's so looking for something a little more ergonomic. Buyer beware doesn't make good reading but if the performance is at least entry level then it would be fine with me and some of the Youtube reviews do say this - and yes I know they may be paid for!

    My query is with all these proprietary parts could it make sourcing replacements an issue?
