  1. They still do. Though massively over expensive machined hop units that rarely work are thing the Reddit crowd always recommend.
  2. The pecking order hasn't changed that much. Some manufactures have faded into the back ground and most flip flop on build quality. No one has made a quantum leap past TMs getting on for 25+ years old gear box design. HPA has made a comp back from the 90s anyone prepared to wear a tank proclaim the best. There is a much greater range of GBBRs which is ironic as you mostly just get ARs and AKs for AEGs. there is better battery tech and more electronics. However it's still the case that a person with a well set up Cheap AEG and a high cap can still out play geardos.
  3. I have been playing 24 years other than single shot indoor CQB i do not use a GBBR as i have been completely out gunned in every outdoor game play every time I played with a GBBR ( I am 6,5 over weight and rapidly heading for my mid forties. I can't do sneaky). The only successful use of GBBR out doors i have seen is an HPA'd High cap adapted abomination. 1) at that stage whats the point and 2) each player running that set up were over spamming W*@kers. I now just stick to TM Recoil master race with mid caps.
  4. I can't imagine that any insurance company would allow any climbing.
  5. That is a light gun and the exception to the rule most of the weight is the mag.
  6. So have you actually played a game using GBBR are you just going with your feelings? As you are say using a gun where you can't use full auto, will have to have changed all you mags while an AEG user will still have a 100rds in their 1 high cap, is significantly heavier than AEG, will require you to carry 2kg worth of mags and is actively throwing your aim off every time you shoot is not more difficult to use than an AEG with a high cap?
  7. The only one I would say to not buy is the M92F as the M9/A1 version is vastly superior. Though the M45 is an approvement over the 1911 the 1911 is still a perfectly good gun.
  8. Then sadly you are in the wrong place. those are classed as airguns not airsoft and this forum is purely fort airsoft guns.
  9. What's the body and stock made out of? Tring to decide if its work attempting a gas shotty transplant.
  10. I have on multiple time bought a gun or bit of kit go nah and put it up for sale before fielding it. I may or may not have sales threads with this being the case.
  11. MR30 are a MotherF*$ker to solder. That is all!
  12. Tanaka don't sell guns directly to the general public. with regards to legal read here
  13. I have ran Hi Capa, 1911s and Detonics with no bother. Currently use one for my secondary back up Glock 26.
  14. Google search shows this appears top be the going rate for one of these now.
  15. Yeah they will do every variant they can it makes the most financial sense. I am wondering if they could pull off a MP5K with battery in the foregrip. I mainly have my fingers crossed for H&K G3 variants at some point in the future.
  16. same would have saved £30 odd getting everything from firesupport.
  17. possibly the nicest AEG i have ever held.
  18. Nerf MA40 to GBB conversion begins. AAP-01 fits after removing some internal supports. . AAP and MA40 hacked up some more and the AAP is bolted to the left shell. Nerf mag hack up and spaced to fit the AAP mag. Long way to go got to figure out a mag release and charging handle, I may put a larger pistol grip in.
  19. Thanks for the heads up. the lack of mag availability was stopping me getting an MP5A5. placed the order Monday mags turned up today. so i have mags before I have a gun. that's on the way from Wolf Armoires. Other than the TM claw mount anyone suggest a mount that will fit?
  20. Field strip and clean it after use including barrel with a microfiber cloth strip and silicon oil on the moving parts and mag valves. Don't get oil on the hop rubber.
