The "thing" about certain bespoke guns that "looks good"

wait until you need to find some basic spares/parts/bits for it

There is the GAT gun by Echo1 and others

Looks a nice bit of fun gun...

Yeah - try and source mags for it locally and easily

It uses v3 gearbox - well not quite

it uses a bespoke COL and it wears quickly

      now try and source one

Whenever you are looking at a new "unique" or "different" gun

look into mags and other bits n bobs first perhaps

Like Army Force Quick change spring v2 gearbox

the micro switch is easy to source cheaply when it burns out

but try to source its bespoke trigger & COL and selector plate

You can get it from Begadi in Germany but not in UK easily

Back to gun or ARP 9 - normal M4-ish gun but bespoke mags

so just price up any spare mags and what cost/availability etc...

before you part with your cash etc....

All I'm saying there are a number of guns people "think" they want

but often like a L85 for example

when people get these "different" guns

quite often they endup finding out this ain't as good as I thought

then you see them flogging them on say 6 months later

going back to their usual guns they end up preferring in the end

Trust me - I might have bought and own a "few"

but I've made a few not so wise purchases too

Heck buy what you like or desire

just check some stuff out first

ignore most of my snidey remarks

but do make a few investigations into your dream gun perhaps

      that's all

You make some very good points as always @Sitting Duck I have a freedom fighter too thou which looks very similar to the arp 5.56

      i think any gun 2nd hand is a risk, I’ve had 3. 2 were fantastic and 1 a lemon.
