  1. So I've playing Airsoft for nearly 2 months and I have noticed that the main key to success is team work and moving as a unit. Sunday just gone I played SWAT Fortess Liverpool my team had no co-ordination and even when you would suggest to other players let's stay as one squad, people just run off! Or they won't run through a door way cause there scared of getting shot at! So am looking to join a group of players who play for fun regularly. I'm 27, not the best player but as I say I have been playing weekly for 2 months. I'm a player who likes to try and accomplish the missions set throughout the day not just shoot what moves. I'm Living in Liverpool willing to travel to surrounding areas, roughly any town or city within' 2 hour drive from Liverpool. I run: MTP MultiCamo Militry Loadout. WE Scar H AEG Klarus Flashlight XT30 WE Glock 17 GBB Oshiboom Impact Grenade Also looking to add claymore and extra grenades to my load out.
  2. Ahh! See this is the sort of information. I was looking for! Thanks.

  4. How do I change my display name?

  5. travelling via planes. I haven't actually found a AirSoft site in Amsterdam yet and this is why I come on here to ask if anyone had played in Amsterdam. Am also interested in the possibility of a language barrier and wether this would effect play etc. many questions. Looks like I'll have to give it ago and hope for the best.
  6. In March am visiting Amsterdam for a short city break and am looking at playing AirSoft over there, has anyone ever played Airsoft in another country from their homeland? Also, I'm looking to use a courier to ship my gun over to Amsterdam and pick it up there? Has anyone done this? Any experiences of moving Airsoft equipment across boarders or playing in a different country please post your experiences. Thanks.
  7. does UKARA even have a website at the minute? http://www.ukara.org.uk
  8. So this Sunday will be my 5th game in total playing Airsoft and it's the last event at my local site S.W.A.T Fortess Liverpool. I'm looking for any suggestions on the next site that would be good to visit? Am looking to stay with urban / CQB style sites. Willing to travel up to maximum 2 hours away from Liverpool.
  9. just been and visited my local store near Liverpool. It's BombedUp in Runcorn they have Nuprol BBs in stock. http://bombupairsoft.co.uk
  10. As I said in my first post I don't smoke prior to Snus and I still don't.
  11. Well my judgement was taken from a very, very close friend who I believe to be savvi. Although I may read up about it myself now. Ps. How long has it been going? I have been using it just over 14 months.
  12. it's all down to each individual user and how often you use it then getting used to it. although yeah when you put it like that it sounded hypocritical.
  13. best place to buy combat gear? looking to purchase multi cam black jacket / pants / plate carrier.
  14. well i guess am not alone on knowing about ha. I have to explain it to people nearly everyday which is why I thought there maybe a possibility nobody knew of it. The thought of rolling in someones spit isn't nice, agreed! but if you use them regularly the spitting becomes a very minimal issue to barely. As I said, research says there is no side effects to Snus as long as you do not consume the saliva (obviously you will consume a little). Snus is also widely used by footballers (soccer players), athletes, body builders and other sports/industries where there are regular checks for drugs in your system.
  15. Ok, so for anyone that doesn't know about Snus it's mainstream and on shop shelves throughout USA, Germany, Poland, Denmark and Norway. used by all ages. Snus is a growing craze in the UK although still not majorly known. It's usually a pouch form and you put it between your gum and your lips. give it around 6-8 minutes and it just gives you a little buzz. Snus is actually nicotine, but the pouch is about 3 times stronger than 1 cigarette and contains no tar, rat poison etc etc. I don't smoke and can't smoke. but this is great stuff. there are no bad side effects from snus, apart from it produces a saliva which you need to spit out (usually in to a spittoon), if you do swallow this saliva this has been linked to cancer in bladder/kidneys. Obviously nicotine addiction if you can't control it. I use Snus in a number of different situations.. including DJing, when using it in a club I can stay sober use snus and be on a very similar vibe to people who are drinking etc.. but I can still drive to and from the club and work etc. I also use snus driving around and chilling out.. am considering using it during AirSoft as research shows it increases your concentration span and the buzz it gives me will definitely fuel a higher adrenaline rush and a better game play. If anyone does use it on it where do you buy from? I am using Northener.com which is good although it takes 4-6 weeks for delivery to UK.
  16. just come across this thread: AEG or GAS: http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/28392-aeg-or-gas/?hl=%2Bgas+%2Bmaintenance#entry216191 and also another thread: Need help picking a gbbr http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/28296-need-help-with-picking-a-gbbr/ these articles and what proof put has been great advice! thanks.
  17. I have seen people saying that gas isn't reliable into UK weather? anyone use it? what experiences have you had? Am looking into SCAR / ARC style primary on gas. any feedback or experience of these?
  18. i only pointed out that i was given one hi mag.. as it was an inconvenience to try and refill mid game, and wind and switch from safety to auto to single fire. etc etc. as i stated. not to correct you. 2 mags would have been nice
  19. i was actually given one hi mag. but yeah i see your point now.
  20. So Sunday just gone (17th January) was my first AirSoft game at S.W.A.T AirSoft Liverpool. Thought I would post my experience up here.. may help anyone who is wondering what there first experience will be like and what I found out from it. Well after having 3.5 hours of sleep I woke up later got to the site at around 11am. I wore black nike track suit joggers, black jordan hoody and black jordan shoes. The site is 2 warehouses connected together with outside areas also, however on this particular day we couldn't use the outside due to heavy snow throughout the night before. One thing I noticed about this site and I believe AirSoft will have this overall, there was vast amount of ground to cover. In fact at this Liverpool site there was 3 floors, compared with Paintball tends to be really small setup games. Once checked in and paid £60 in total for rental equipment, entrance fee & BBs. Was given a G36 electric gun (if I had requested or arrived at 9am I could of opted for a M4). The gun felt sluggish although I think this was because of 2 things, NUMBER 1. It's a rental gun, NUMBER 2, it's actually kind of hard to get to grips with actually pulling the trigger in full allowing the BB to fire and then releasing, otherwise your gun won't actually fire BBS and just 'click'. S.W.A.T AirSoft Liverpool staff and players were great, everyone was friendly, staff were happy to explain things in more detail when needed and keep checking my gun. For first time AirSoft people there's a lot to take in. For example if my gun stopped firing BBs, first change to full auto mode and then back to single fire, this resets the gearbox. But with no light or touch this was handwork when in dark rooms and corners of cover. Still not firing? Make sure your mag doesn't need to be turned under neither to push the BBs up. Still not firing? Then you may need to reload, again very hard work in dark rooms and when in cover. Throughout the whole day the main things I noticed; 1. majority of rental guns were G36 standard with no upgrades or attachments. 2. majority of owned guns were M4 or M16. 3. only 1 person was running a gas bottle. 4. majority of people wore clear plastic glasses or mesh goggles/glasses. 5. it isn't plain sailing operating a AirSoft rifle. 6. money won't solve everything, I seen a guy getting kills with a £12 shotgun! 7 . be there for the enrolment in the morning so you can order, pizza! I had to eat a pot noodle, didn't' compete. When I have asked about mesh goggles on the forum people seemed to frown upon them and made me feel negative about them. But the first mask I was given included in my rental was mesh! I had a positive day with the mask and the mesh was absolutely fine, even when I was shot by an M4 5 foot away. the mesh didn't dent or nothing. Only think I would say, the full face mask was very unsociable and made it hard for me to talk to other players in between game modes. It also made it difficult to have a drink. But other players had cigarettes etc. so moving forward, probably won't get a full face mask. All people I spoke to were friendly and i shot a few other peoples pistols. I shot a BlowBack pistol & a electric pistol and the Blowback was much more fun! The blowback pistol seemed to be more reliable to as when i took a few shots with the electric it miss fired. although When i discussed with with other people at the event they said electric is more reliable. Summary; I am looking at Blowback rifle and pistol as they seem more fun and realistic. Where as prior to this first ever AirSoft I was more favoured to electric. I am also looking to purchase a light/torch before I even get my first gun! I am also thinking that when I watch load out videos of people with 6/7/8 mags it's OTT and you would probably be in a better position if you replaced half of them mags with grenades. I found that paintball hurts more but you get hit less and less gameplay. However with AirSoft, the pain is more like a pinch and you tend to get hit more and have more play time also. Paintball is a lot more run and shoot. I found AirSoft to be a tactical and thinking game, with plenty of ground the cover it gave room for different routes to the enemy and the objectives. Also by visiting my local AirSoft site these players new of local places to grab supplies that I hadn't been able to find online or on forums. Before this event I thought my closest AirSoft shop was Huddersfield (49 miles from Liverpool) or Staffordshire (60 miles from Liverpool). Turns out there is a shop in Runcorn called BombedUp (14 miles from Liverpool).
  21. From what I can see its patrol base in Huddersfield. For guns and real air soft kit? And I noticed today army surplus, queens square outlet CALLANS has shutdown? Anywhere else similar
  22. another reason to ask about colour/tint/equipment/experience
  23. would love to visit this site at some point.. do them do games weekly here?
  24. point of asking for a different perspective is down to the fact i have no experience as of yet. my questions down to colour of clothing is down to wanting what suits best.. my preference maybe to be a US american criminal in a orange jail suit. that isn't the best idea, obviously. my question about tints is if you use them does it effect being able to focus on another person when in low light etc or if you have used them have you had a situation where walking into a pitch black room and the goggles have worked against you? different points of view are what fuel a conversation. this would look good with your sombre hat http://www.morphsuits.co.uk/donkey-costume?gclid=Cj0KEQiAq920BRC8-efn57XrotYBEiQAlVlMQ7xQus28BPiKkMed2XFIT_3JVDsKk4qLq6l8xTtvkU4aAnON8P8HAQ
  25. I have had a look about and I can't find any threads that gives me answers, as am guessing this is a question asked often? What is the difference between Gas & Electronic? Does one fire quicker or more reliable? I have seen one or two load out videos carry gas tanks? facts, thoughts and experiences all welcome..
