  1. Thanks for all the advice guys Oh by train I meant help improve my aim and basically some advice on how to zero the gun better - got me a fancy red dot sight and no matter what I do I seem to go from having the hop up too low to too high, there's no in between!
  2. I wasn't too sure where to put this, so apologies if it's in the wrong place! I've posted before about having bought an AEG from a friend and I'm looking for a team to play matches with and generally "train" with to help me get better at the sport. I've played a couple of "matches" on my friends land a few years ago and completely fell in love with it, however the team I played with there all live hours away. I live near Croydon, so preferably a team that meets around the Surrey area - although I have been looking at Wolf Armouries! Also - if anyone has any tips to help a newbie, they'd be greatly appreciated
  3. As an ex-police officer, quick heads up (FYI please don't think I'm trying to scare you here!) If you've got permission to use the airsoft rifle in a field go for it. However what I would suggest is calling 101 and informing the local police exactly when and where you're going to be doing it. They'll set up an incident and if any calls go into 999 about someone shooting in the field, they'll still send officers out, but they'll be aware that it's more than likely you with an airsoft gun. Very few officers have firearm training and if you're not an airsofter yourself, you're very unlikely to have seen the hit. I'd hate for you to have armed police rolling up on you. However if that does happen, remember you've not done anything wrong. If you hear sirens/see a police car, put the gun on the floor and step away and do exactly as they say.
  4. Problem with mine is it won't go on, no matter how much pressure I use!!
  5. Pad the mount out? Just got the camera and the mount, the mounts centre piece is too large for the sj4000 to fit on. How on earth did you manage it>
  6. So, my back garden isn't that big, infact, it's probably only about three meters long... What kind of places do you guys go to zero your guns? There's local woodland near me, however it is near a kids playpark so I DON'T think that's a good idea!!!
  7. Ah that's cool. I'd also been looking at the SRS Sight that MatTheSkirmisher uses, the solar charging looks pretty cool
  8. 60 days? Ouch!! Guess I'll have to wait, sight looks awesome!
  9. Yeah, I want to keep mine light too, however it's impossible to see down the sights at the moment, especially with goggles on
  10. Well hello again! Looking to get a riser for the top of my M4A1 and am completely confused by The STANAG Dimension thing! I've got a standard sized pinicaty rail on top that I've got a red dot on, however it sits too low and there's no way to manually adjust the angle of the site (just the dot in the middle) The one I'm looking at is this http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B001WIUUV8/ref=mp_s_a_1_92?qid=1440440390&sr=8-92π=AC_SX110_SY165&keywords=UTG&dpPl=1&dpID=41dxQv-JSFL&ref=plSrch# HOWEVER I am completely open to suggestions, as I've never used a riser before
  11. Hey Ghost. Yep, title certainly worked for me Where abouts do you live? I'm quite new to the sport too and have my own equipment. If you're close, could be cool for two newbies to play together EDIT: D'oh! Just seen you live in Wrexham! Little bit far from me tbh
  12. ...I'm an idiot. Thanks, I'd tried all different kinds of knots just on the sling.
  13. Since these are both similar, quick question for you both (if you don't mind.) Looking to get a new case for my M4A1 so I don't have to de-assemble and re-zero the red dot sight every time. Are these likely to fit an m4 with red-dot sight and bipod in? I assuming with the LMG capacity, it'll be a yes but don't want to spend £50 on a bag for it to be a no
  14. SOLD! Well, attending your Mil-Sim games anyway. I suspect that if I drove this on the road I MAY get pulled over...
  15. Me again, so many questions! Right, I BELIEVE this is a Mil-Force, one point sling and I am having a nightmare attaching it. Its a long piece of fabric with only one clamp on it. When I thought I was being clever and tied a knot in the sling and went to drop the gun. Needless to say, it there was a mag in there I would have been shot in the face! I've tried a YouTube and Google search, but no where seems to show a sling similar to mine so any help would be AMAZING!! I've attached photos of the front mount and the sling below
  16. I'd suggest using Nikwax on the fabric bits. I use that for my work boots, and it makes sure that when you hose them off, the dirt just slides off. Personally wouldn't recommend boots with zips, I got some stories I could tell about those lol
  17. Oh I said feel them, not TAKE them
  18. Thanks for all your replies! Stuck this up while I was working Nights, so gave me a good read when it was quiet.
  19. Thank you! Literally just found it and accidently shot myself in the foot while adjusting it. At least I know people WILL feel their hits!
  20. ...shot myself in the foot trying to adjust hop-up

I'm with josh95 on this one :) shot myself in the foot with my gas mp7 point blank to see if it'd actually hurt (or as i call it "Feels like 350".)

  21. Like you, I prefer more of a full on approach. Just bought my first AEG as well. The chest rig I bought is this one by Mil-Tech http://www.amazon.co.uk/Army-USMC-Tactical-Assault-Black/dp/B004130124/ref=pd_sim_sbs_200_5?ie=UTF8&refRID=0S5C45R30C5FV5CBVSWT Its got three mag pouches for your main weapon, a holster for your side arm and three pouches for mags for that. It also comes with a utility belt that can clip onto the bottom of the rig, so you can attach even more stuff to it. I got it in Black as I couldn't afford to buy loads of different colour camo and black kind of blends in with everything - unless I step into a white room in which case I'm dead!
  22. Thanks, think I'll give that a try in the morning so I don;t shoot anything inside! Silly question, any idea where the hop unit normally is? The gun didn't come with instructions...
  23. Saw the other "zeroing" post, however my sight isn't blurry, so thought I would set up my own topic. Basically, I've just bought the below ICS M4A1 from my Dad's friend and it came complete with a red dot sight, meaning the original triangular "sight" ontop of the weapon has gone. Now I've tried lining up the red-dot sight with a can about two meters infront of me and I've noticed the shot is going slightly lower than I am aiming, but also slightly to the right. Does anyone have any experience with the below red dot sight and how to zero it? I've got it lined up with the iron sights, so I may need to zero them too! Yep, another Newbie question from me!!
  24. Thanks for the reply!! The "crossing" suggestion is probably going to save me a lot of pain.
