If you have the Madbull Daniel Defense RIS, then that link or this one http://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/madbull-dd-l85--sa80-rail-adapter-for-ics I spoke with Frank this week and he said there'll be about 7 coming soon (this week or next week). The adapters on the ANT website won't fit on the Madbull version. (not too sure what they are for). As for the ladders I'll be getting something like the pic above. A friend of mine got Magpull XTs. Down to preference or realism

Thanks for the reply. Yes the spring is there and it does work quite well. The inner barrel however can still rotate about 1mm on either direction if applied some pressure and am not sure how much of an impact in accuracy this might be. I'll see if tightening the screws might improve it.

Hi there I've found quite a few things wrong with my ICS (like the spring shooting at 310FPS with 0.2, motor does not have ICS trademarks, etc.) I've now found something else. Was watching Ed's video and the hop unit is attached to the outer barrel by two small screws on each side. my hop up and inner barrel are loose inside the outer barrel. The outer barrel has the screw holes, but the hop unit does not have that "star" looking outer piece of plastic where the screws go through. Is this a newer design, or did someone tamper with this as well? Thanks J

Cheeky, wouldn't that still have the same issue? The blanks bouncing around on the inside and knocking against each other and potentially blowing off? Ed just recommended me the same BFG as his, and I just got the BFG and my first batch of primers. I'm actually quite afraid this crap will just explode on me and want to carry (and store them) safely. I'm already shitting my pants as there is one missing from the box and I hope I didn't drop it on the floor (I'm sure it was missing before it was shipped but still....) The berocca tube seems way cool, just afraid that they explode by hitting each other OR that you drop them trying to get them out on the field.

Right, I went for a Guarder spring (still about £6 cheaper than MadBull). Guarder SP100 gives a FPS or 395-400 on High, 350-355 on Low, with Prometheus 6.03mm 509mm TBB (TBH installing the barrel didn't change any FPS readings). (My chrono reads <5fps higher than ZeroOne in-shop one, and 20fps higher than GroundZero one) I'm guessing mine shipped with wrong spring or had it's spring replaced, like yours. I'm hoping what I read on forums about springs bedding in and loosing 5-10fps is true

Sorry to revive this thread, but Nick did you ever found out what was the cause of this? did yours just ship with a wrong spring?When/if you replaced the string, did the FPS jump anywhere near the values Ed indicated? My brand new ics l85a2 is also shooting at a way lower fps than average out of the box

Would putting some washers or something help? i didn't open the unit yet, so don't even know if this is possible. I've read about your elastic band solution. Cool I'll look at fire support again. Thanks again Ed.

The last time (the only time!) I ordered something from SOCOM I never go it. And the costumer service/reply wasn't good either, but I'll google for Element nubs. Ian said something I think it's key: they way they fit. I'm guessing Finius and Ed probably tried which ones fit best then? (hopefully they'll pitch in at some point haha)

this is an amazing post! I've thanked Ed in person, but I'll do it again now. I have a question that might benefit other people: Big Out H nub. Black or White? And where is a good place to get them in the UK? Seems its all out of stock. Systema or Madbull hop rubber? is there much difference there? seems I can't find the systema in stock. And finally anyone received their ICS L85 with a black motor (no Turbo3000 sticker) and FPS from 300(low)-330(high)/270(low) - 310(high)? Measured with 2 different chronos (UFC pro, Guarder)

They've been nothing short of amazing with me. Fast replies to emails, proper 2 way communication, long, explanatory emails why they suggest one brand/model over another. This once they sent me the wrong thing, and they just told me to keep it and sent the right one straight away first class mail. Really recommend them. I'm waiting for some more cash and the G17 from Tokyo Marui to be back in stock and I'll be hitting the shop and have a chat with them. The old WE vs TM. They said they'd walk me through all the upgrades for the TM in shop.

Thanks So if the motor is stock, it seems some ICS Turbo 3000 come without stickers. ... one week until I skirmish this gun for the first time!

Hopefully this is a good place to ask, I got an L85A2. I was speaking with Ed yesterday and I realised that the motor did not have any ICS Turbo 3000 markings on it. I got it from zero one and am waiting for them to open up to give them a ring on Monday, but before I do so, has anyone come across this?
