  1. I've got a set of asg gloves. Going well so far and deffo took the sting out of some of the hand hits this weekend at the mall
  2. I've got a we glock 17 and really like it. I don't use it as much as i want so gas efficiency isn't a worry for me. The recoil makes up for having to spend an extra few quid on gas anyway. If your going to get one then don't get it from action hobbies. It is my local store and i like it but it's much cheaper elsewhere.
  3. Thanks for that. I feel a trip to London coming on once it's finished
  4. I don't suppose someone wants to post up any photos or more info. I don't have Facebook so can't see it. Interested to try cqb tho. Heading to the mall for the first time very soon.
  5. I might come along as well to see what it's like over there
  6. Or you could stick to an assualt rifle instead so i don't get shot in the face anymore than i usually do at finmere
  7. Might have to give it a try some time then. Cheap enough to give it a go and not worry if it's going to be any good or not.
  8. What brand do they supply you with? The idea of putting a load of crappy bb's through my gun really put me when I looked at their site. Apart from that it could be good for a mid week fix I guess
  9. Can you use your own stuff at special ops? I'm sure i read somewhere that you can only use bbs that you buy from them
  10. A few people use them at the site I play at. No one seems to mention it. You've got to start somewhere
  11. How long do the batteries usually last?
  12. I'm thinking about getting a tracer silencer but not sure if i should get a rechargeable one or one that takes throw away batteries. How long do the batteries last on a non rechargeable one?
  13. I've got some v12's best goggles I've had so far The anti fog wipe you get with it really works as well.
  14. I had the same train of thought. I brought an assualt vest first cause i wasn't sure what i needed to carry and how many pouches i would need and for what. Now I've got a better idea of what i need I'm going to invest in a plate carrier and start building it up. Just need to choose one now.
  15. I did look into them and I know they would provide a better range. But for now I'm trying to stick to something simple just to see if we even use them. The radios we are going for work out at around £22 each which is a similar price to the baofengs I've been looking at. If we don't get along with the motorolas then we have the option of someone in our group using them at his work and covering our costs.
  16. Its a title I never wanted, but took on as no one else wanted to look into them. Which was the same with the guns, chargers, ammo, mags. Everything really Except lunch. They sort out lunch
  17. I'm pretty much the same except the driver part as no one wants to share the cost of fuel on a subaru for some reason when they all have diesels. Next step for me is opening the gun up. Just got to make sure I have enough in the bank to buy a new one when i break it.
  18. I use .25's BAW's and think they are pretty decent. No issues so far with them. 6000 bbs a day is rather a lot tho. The first time I went I did use rather a lot as i'm sure many did, but you will soon calm down. I'm down to 1000 or so for the day now depending on how many turn up.
  19. The radios are mostly for when someone is coming back from the regen point and wants to know where we are. We all respect the dead men don't talk rule so we can hardly say "meet me here" or "wait here" The site we play at now isn't huge so i think the motorolas will do for now.
  20. Thanks for the advice guys. To be honest we have all only just started and i won't be at any major milsim events anytime soon which is why we prefer the idea of the PMR radios. But it might be something to look into as we branch out into bigger events. I'll look into the 80 model as well. Having the volume switch accessible makes a lot of sense.
  21. So i'm slowly building up my gear and getting together everything I need/want game by game. The next thing on my list is radios. And because of that I've been delegated by my mates to find us some. I've done a few searches on here and would rather stick on the legal side of things when it comes to radios, so was thinking of going with a Motorola radio. Does anyone have any experience with the Motorola tlkr t60's? I'll be mostly using them in woodland areas but not over a great distance. I was just wondering what they are like in that sort of environment and also how well they work with different types of headsets. Thanks for the help, Darren
  22. I've just got a WE glock 17 and i love it
  23. Eye protection was sorted before I went first time. My eye sight is bad enough without taking a bb to the eye. All the g&g's i have looked at so far haven't looked quite right for what i want where as the Cyma looks wise is perfect. Plus action hobbies is just down the road for me. I'll be going there this weekend anyway as i need to pick up a few other bits. I'll see if I can take a look at a few m4's. What model do you have?
  24. So i went to my first airsoft day a few weekends back and am booking in for my next one tomorrow once me and my mates confirm we're all free (either way i'm going) Its safe to say I've got the bug and i can feel my debit card burning in my wallet ready to be used. I've been looking at a few guns for once i get my UKARA all sorted and was hoping for an opinion as there are so many different brands. Ill be going for something in the m4 family for my first gun. I know there is going to be others and i'm not going to fight it. For now tho could someone give me some input on Cyma as a make. I've heard a lot of people mentioning g&g but I wondered if this would be a good alternative as it has a lot of the bits i wanted such as RIS up front for added goodies and a metal body for that added weight. I would also prefer for the battery to be in the stock as well which this also has. Here's the gun in question http://www.actionhobbies.co.uk/Cybergun-Cyma-Colt-M4-CQBR_AY3QT.aspx?nh=150847#.VSLarfnF-So I just wanted to know if anyone has any experience with this gun or the make and if it is compatible with other magazines from different brands. I was looking at the G&P as I heard they was very good and well worth the money but i would obviously be saving a fair chunk of cash to be used on accessories and maybe a back up pistol as well. http://www.landwarriorairsoft.com/airsoft-weapons-c38/electric-rifles-c45/m4-sentry-black-magpul-type-gp901m-p1776 If all else fails i'll get a g&g but as long as its a metal body one. Hi bye the way
