    Been on the lookout for a gun to DMR and I came across this LCT G3. It’s a full size, mostly metal, big mag, big gun. 1.1m long and 5kg with an empty mag she’s a beast. Plan to get it looking right, bit of patina to make it feel its age, might see if I can find a set of the wooden stock/hand guard I've seen on my travels. Era correct 2 point sling and optic, maybe a big fat mock suppressor to add to the bigness? Need a couple of extra mags as well. When it’s looking right it’s going to a tech for a good service, not sure on the condition of the internals? Sounds a bit whiney, but does shoot straight, not sure if that’s a characteristic of this motor/gearbox combo? Will be rebuilt to be a semi only DMR, optical mosfet for trigger response, big spring for power and a good shim to get it running smooth. Another very pretty gun to add to the collection.

    Don't bother, too much work to do it, possible legal implications, & even if you succeed, potentially too many unproven/unmatched parts to go wrong. Sell the air rifle & invest in a proven airsoft version (or dress a fal up). Out of interest though, what brand is the air rifle ?, which is about as much as we can discuss here about airguns according to the forum rules.🤔

I recall that some of them come with a threaded adaptor like the Cyma ones, you just need to find the grub screw that stops it coming off.

    That would be a nightmare to do I reckon. You'd need to bore out the barrel for a 6mm inner barrel, get a hop up system that would work with the firing system and also be able to be secured to the body. Then also modify the magazines to take 6mm BB's so changing feed lips, loader etc. Then find a way to restrict power to keep it site legal... TL;DR version - Buy a VFC FAL and stick L1A1 furniture on it

    In my head, those who are autistic about toy gun realism wouldn't be fussed about throwing a 556 can or vice versa. I think just having the option available would be nice and I don't see many 22 to 14 adapters on the market. For those with LCTs like me who cant remove the 22 thread like those with the Cyma 045, I think it could be good. From my first thoughts on design, I believe that visually, it'll look like a slightly longer muzzle device. 40mm length seems like the average for adapters that I've come across so far so I don't think it'll be an eye sore on the RIF.
